Pennsaid (diclofenac) "I can't take NSAIDs because I get extremely sick to my stomach when I do (I was diagnosed with gastritis) and my Orthopedic doctor gave me a few samples of PENNSAID and I am impressed. Inside one packet of 2% gel on my knee and the swelling went down almost immediately, and the pain was completely gone for almost 8 hours. I have many joint issues. I have worked jn the service industry for over 20 years, and I love what this drug can do. Unfortunately, I cant afford it ($1000/ month?), and of course my insurance won't cover it. Its really a shame because I think this is a breakthrough kind of treatment for pain. If drugs like this were more available, maybe there wouldn't be such an opiate epidemic in the U.S. Lives would be saved in the long run, and less resources would be used on patients ODing."

Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel (diclofenac) "For more than 2 years I have had pain in lower back and left shoulder. It was VERY uncomfortable to sleep and experienced major discomfort when rising. My back orthopedist told me not to worry about this. I applied a 1/16" dose of my wife's Voltaren Gel to the affected areas a week ago, and have been pain free the entire time. Miracle medicine. "

Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel (diclofenac) "I was prescribed this medication for use on several areas of my body that are ravaged by osteoarthritis. I have had great results, when used regularly this gel works. It is a fast acting medication, so you can apply it and get on with activities right away. The cost of the medicine is high, but if you have tried products such as aspercreme, biofreeze or joint flex. You will see that the cost and relief you get are directly related. I have and will continue to recommend this medicine to anyone who needs relief from osteoarthritis. Thanks for the help NOVARTIS."

Pennsaid (diclofenac) "I was given samples of this for arthritis pain in my foot due to a previous injury. I used just a little bit of it each day to make sure I wasn’t allergic. I thought after a few days it was safe but then about 4 days later I broke out in this horrible rash on my foot. It itches, burns, I can’t sleep at night, and it’s gone from red, to purple, and now swollen and red with some boils. If you have any allergies please be careful with this medication. It’s been a week and my foot is still awful looking."

Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel (diclofenac) "Was prescribed this after a fall on my lower back and it worked wonders. I like to put it on at night and then wake up pain free. I have now started to use it on my arthritis in my neck. Can move freely 5 minutes after application with only slight pain (although I can still hear all the clicking noises)."

Pennsaid (diclofenac) "This worked to completely take away pain from a bone spur in my right foot in less than two weeks. Haven't needed it again since the pain went away. I have used it on my knees and it helped for that too. I'm about to try it on my sprained ankle hoping it works. I got this for a discount $10 mailed to my home. Prescribed by a Podiatrist"

Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel (diclofenac) "My Doctor put me on this Voltaren gel and now I can get a goodnights sleep , because it works so good, and I have to rate this medicine in the high 10s. All you have to do is put between 4 up to 9 gram 4 times a day and you will see just what I'm talking about."

"Retail cost was $55 for a 100 g tube of Diclofenac gel' with insurance, I paid $7.50 so I don't understand the comments about excessive costs. Sure, free is better but $7.50? I followed the directions using the dosing card but quickly realized only a thin coating of the gel to the affected areas worked to diminish the pain so I used it when needed. After only a few days, I needed to apply only 2 or 3 times a day, and the initial pain was greatly diminished. MAGIC!"

Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel (diclofenac) "I have been using Voltaren gel for a few weeks & it does work. When I was younger an internal med doc put me on Voltaren the pill to calm down what another doctor had messed my body up with too many antibiotics. Voltaren literally saved my life. I don't know it people realise that the the manufacturer made the cap specifically for people that may have arthritis in their hands! Another stated he could not have to use it 4 times a day as instructed it says it may be used UP TO 4 times a day. Smell for me there is none. My knee/sports doctor actually recommends this as I asked him today. Don't expect it to reverse your aging, as I am 63. But it does reduce the inflamation & pain. Try it."

Pennsaid (diclofenac) "Went to a walk in Orthopedic clinic and given two packets of Pennsaid 2% for an aching Achilles. Attending physician wrote script and sent it to their recommended pharmacy. Used the two sample packets and a rash broke out on my ankle along with skin pain. Seven days after my initial visit the Pennsaid arrived by mail. Never used it and my prescription insurance paid $2,297.00 (3.8 fl oz). You wonder big Pharma is loathe by general public?"

Pennsaid (diclofenac) "For the first several days that I used Pennsaid I had significant pain relief in my knee. However, some pain has returned even with continued use. I hope that I will eventually feel better. So glad that my doctor was able to help me get this prescription at a discount through a pharmaceutical discount provider! Saved $$$$"

Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel (diclofenac) "This medicine is pretty miraculous as far as my joints are concerned. I'm using much less than the 2gram dose - maybe 1/4 to 1/2 a gram on a joint, tops - and having at least 8 hours pain free. It seems no studies were conducted on it's use on shoulders, but it worked decently enough for mine when I pinched a nerve. Make sure you read the possible side effects and all the potential negatives, and test on a single area with someone with you for a couple hours just to make sure you're not allergic. It's been problem-free for me, but everyone's body chemistry is different."

Pennsaid (diclofenac) "I have osteoarthritis in my right knee, and I run. I also get IT band pain. So sometimes, I am so stiff and achy either from running, or just because. I get super stiff behind my knee, and it makes it hard to even walk, or straighten my leg all the way. I take ibuprofen, I ice it...and that helps some. I woke up this morning with it being extremely stiff behind my knee. I applied Pennsaid all over the back and front of my knee. No kidding - within 5 minutes, most of that stiffness is GONE. I am in shock. And if you have knee pain, you know how debilitating it can feel. This stuff is INSANE - in a good way!! I'm so glad I have it. I literally can't believe how much it helped me. And no, I don't work for a pharmaceutical company."

Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel (diclofenac) "I use voltaren for osteoarthritis of the knee (both knees) sometimes it gives me a moderate relief and sometimes it does nothing at all. I have a complain the company should have 100 grams as it writes on the tube (i use voltaren forte) they lie!!! I pay 9.8 euro for a voltaren forte 100 grams but if you put it on a precision scale it weights 100 g with the tube if you remove the gel the tube has a weight of at least 20 grams so they steal one fifth from what they sell. Shame on you voltaren company."

Pennsaid (diclofenac) "I'm allergic to Ibuprofen, Aspirin, and Naproxen. My doctor knew this. He insisted that this stuff would be fine on me. He put a dab on my hand and said that since there wasn't a rash I was fine. I put it in the places he told me to and the. I got very very very sick. Lethargic almost. It was awful. Major major major stomach cramps and pain. My throat started to close up. It was awful. Do not take this if you are allergic to Ibuprofen. You'll regret it. Some doctors truly are idiots."

Pennsaid (diclofenac) "I received a few sample packets of Pennsaid from the dr. Used them sparingly and IT worked great for my knee pain. No pain. Loved the stuff. Got a script for a bottle of it. The real stuff. Didn’t work at all. Horrible for the huge price tag that came with it. Be careful because the generic version works better."

Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel (diclofenac) "I am a type 2 diabetic for about 20 years now and last year my one knee really got sore and walking was tough. I used all kind of pain cremes on my knee but nothing worked. I got a cortisone shot and it worked for about a month, but it really elevates the blood sugars. Now I have been using Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO) on my feet for a few years to get rid of the nerve pain, because nothing else worked. So I shaved my knee and tried the DMSO and like the foot pain I find it gives me about 10 days of relief. My family Dr is not a fan of the cortisone shots, and says the DMSO is safer. I am now trying DMSO mixed with some Voltaren. I leave it on for an hour then wash the knee and apply Aloe Vera to reduce the itching from the Voltaren. The 50 50 mixture itches more than the DMSO. But I can walk without hobbling along like Chester."

Pennsaid (diclofenac) "I had hip replacement six years ago and recently developed serious pain in my replaced hip where I couldn't sleep. Doctor took x rays of the replaced hip and the hip was perfect. He probed the pain area and I went through the roof. He recommended painsaid to control inflammation, Doc felt my exercise regime causes the inflammation. I got instant relief and I would recommend it."
