"I was waking up and depressed until around 10:00. I had planned on taking my life many, many times but couldn't figure out the most polite way. Each morning, it was there. I knew if I could wait until around 10:00, I'd be okay, but it was getting old, quickly. I decided to get help, and I walked in the V.A., tears streaming down my cheeks, embarrassed that I had to get help. We had a discussion, and I asked if I could try to take what my daughter was taking: dextroamphetamine, because I was all over the place with my ADHD. We tried 10 milligrams and went to 20 but settled on 15. It works, and I'm okay. Erections with visuals (hey, don't judge), but the depression seems to be completely gone, and less ADHD symptoms."

"I was diagnosed with ADHD in my sixties. Dex has helped me focus on work and feel energized. It has adversely affected my libido. My interest in sex is still high, but the urge disappears when on the Dex. If I want to have sex, I need to stay off the Dex for a day or two. An understanding partner really helps a man and the relationship deal with this stuff. I need to reassure her that it is the drug and not her desirability."

"I was worried that 'Dexies' would affect my ability to perform in the sack and whether the benefits they provide in allowing me to focus on work were worth the loss. Pleased to say it's quite the opposite. Almost to a fault; I get urges to get in bed pretty much any time, day or night, whereas my partner is still the regular old once or twice a week."

Dextroamphetamine "I'm currently 36 years of age, male, 6'2", 240 lbs. I was diagnosed with anxiety/panic disorder with agoraphobia at 16 by three separate psychiatrists and went through the usual merry-go-round of SSRIs until finding something that worked, which turned out to be Lexapro in the morning and Cymbalta at night, which preserved my sexual function. Lexapro twice a day killed it. These days, I've been suffering with fibromyalgia for 8 years and take Klonopin 2 mg twice a day, Flexeril 10 mg four times daily, Celebrex 200 mg twice daily, Celexa 40 mg in the morning, Xanax 2 mg when required, and Ritalin 20 mg twice daily. Between the fibro fatigue and 'fog,’ I felt nearly narcoleptic. Adding Dextrostat 60 mg when required has solved the issues perfectly."

"Found perversely an increased sex drive, but with it, higher instances of ED. Just moved over to Dex from Ritalin and finding it quite a challenge. Partitioning my day helps, such as when time in the sack might be on the cards, then not taking the afternoon dose. The key thing has been talking to my partner and talking to her about the side effects so she understands that it’s not about her. It’s far less than ideal, especially as you can’t forecast your or her urges, but the antidepressant nature of Dex outweighs the negatives. But with that said, I’m 40 and married for 6 years - for younger lads in shorter-term relationships, I can understand how embarrassing this must be. If you don’t feel comfortable having that conversation with your partner, or aren’t in a stable relationship and aren’t taking Dex for the antidepressant effects, then I’d recommend having a conversation with your physician about trying Ritalin."

"I hadn't realized that as I approach 50 years old and have always been a 'late bloomer,' despite enjoying the metamorphosis that's finally aging my body via the widening of 'filling out' and the sudden sprouting and rapid spread of body and chest hair that erupted after 40+ years of being mostly smooth aside from around my navel. I thought that I'd become aroused a bit less often but with the same intensity and rigidity of both erection and climax, my issue having always been coming too quick. Then, after being prescribed a mix of 30mg Dexedrine SR and 15mg IR, and not being informed of the side effects or researching before hurriedly trying the new med out with a full day's dose immediately after filling the script at the pharmacy, I was driving home in traffic, almost there after about 45 minutes, when in a completely non-sexual context, driving alone, I suddenly got the sort of involuntary 'hard on' that I hadn't experienced since my late teens, the fullness of it literally feeling"

"I can confirm the anonymous observation from time to time. Erectile dysfunction isn't mostly related to dopamine, even though it heightens your primal animal factor under the effect of D-Amp. The problem is the deficiency of blood flow in your penis that is supposed to increase under the primal animal factor. It is not happening because you are having health-related problems that cut down blood flow. But I am searching for more information by researching this compared to what I gathered. But then again, it is your brain trying to outsmart the sexual tension, which is your other common factor. All it takes is one consenting partner to figure out your ED. On top of that, you can even experiment with supplements that boost ED."

"Literally ruined my sex life. Can’t get hard anymore. I am a shell of a man thanks to the people who prescribed this to me. Never try this godforsaken awful pill."
