"I've been on a few different medications (Adderall and Focalin, both extended and rapid). Azstarys is by far the best I have tried. I feel calm and collected on it, without the jitters and heart palpitations. The only problem I have on days I don't take it is I feel very tired and get headaches. But I guess that's normal if you're using the medication every day."

"I have been taking Azstarys for 3 months, and I was on Concerta for a year before starting this new medication. I experienced Serotonin Syndrome on Concerta and was having really bad heart palpitations, so my doctor prescribed Azstarys. My palpitations have gone away, and I do not sweat as excessively as before, although I still do feel the effects of Azstarys in the form of sleepiness for the first couple of hours and then improved concentration throughout the day. I am also taking Vilazodone in combination, which has improved my mood levels substantially. I would say Azstarys is well worth trying regardless of the noted side effects. I, for one, have not had any serious side effects from Azstarys since I started and prefer it over the other 3 ADHD medications I have tried in the past couple of years."

"I took Azstarys for two weeks at the recommended starting dosage for adults (39.2 mg). I had heard great things about it and was excited to try something new. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype and did not help with concentration or motivation. I also felt dehydrated and had headaches every day when taking it, even though I drank tons of water throughout the day. I would not recommend this drug."

"I've been taking Azstarys since November 2023. I tried all doses and settled on the lowest before deciding to stop. The first day was amazing, the first week felt like a godsend. Then things changed. I noticed hypersexuality, followed by numbness in my fingers and toes. My health check showed no heart or other issues, so I continued. Then came afternoon anger issues. My doctor prescribed Lexapro for the aggression, but it didn't help. Exercise, a proper diet, and talking to a therapist were most effective. The drug created anger issues I never had before. I became short-tempered and said horrible things over small issues, which wasn’t normal for me. Most issues subsided, but the anger stayed, and the drug no longer helps my ADHD and had to stop using it this week."

"Initially, the medication was great. I felt focused and could function normally for the first time ever. However, after a few months, I started experiencing a racing heart and hypersexuality, followed by anger and agitation. I would explode over the smallest things. The doctor tried different doses to minimize the afternoon crash. It helped at first, but I still couldn't get past the agitation and anger. In the morning, the medication is effective, but by the afternoon, it's horrible. It's like Jekyll and Hyde – It's wonderful in the morning and all is great, but by afternoon, I'm angry and short-tempered. I think it's time to try another approach and stop taking this drug."

"Hit or miss, it's not about the medication-it's your genetics. Go get a GenSight test done before you try new medications randomly. There are severe genetic consequences if you do not in some cases. It will definitely save you money by letting you choose from a list of medications by price point if you're looking for a budget option while having something that works reasonably well. Otherwise, go full charge and go through your list and find the option that is best for you. Also, make sure your psychiatrist doesn't try to use their personal bias to put you on a medication they trust that has mild to severe interactions with your GenSight test. It makes a difference-I learned the hard way. Anyways, Azstarys just happened to be really good for me. It has a lower heart rate than when on Adderall, lasts twice as long, no loss of appetite, and no shakes. It's a great medication for me."

"Switched to this over Vyvanse. Much better. Quick onset, lasts all day. No appetite issues like Vyvanse. I'm switching to Azstarys for good."

"I like Azstarys more than Concerta, and I've been on Concerta for years. I've been on Azstarys for more than 6-7 months, and I don't notice a comedown."

"Not great at all. Started at mid dose, got nothing but stayed on for one month. At one month check-up, PA prescribed highest dose. Only a little more effects, and I felt flat. Disappointed."

"Been on med for one year. I like it because I’m on the lowest dose. I can focus and eat. Big difference in attitude. No side effects so far, just tired if off for a day."

"I've just started taking this medication for about a week now and it's been working decently. I'd previously been on Adderall XR 10mg in the morning. It worked AMAZINGLY when I took it with Zoloft 75mg, but after quitting it, I had to stop because I was becoming depressed and dependent on the Adderall. Dextroamphetamine Spansules looked like a good choice because it apparently gave fewer side effects than Adderall and Vyvanse - which gave me NASTY stomach aches. Due to the Amphetamine shortage, I wasn't able to find a pharmacy with that, so I took a tip from a family doctor who said Azstarys had worked WONDERS for her child with ADHD, and I was able to get it with ease from my pharmacy - NO SHORTAGE! Azstarys actually has WAY fewer side effects than Adderall. I just feel like it's a CURE for my ADD rather than a micro-dose of SPEED! So far, so good for this drug. It's smooth, effective, and side effects (dry mouth and appetite suppression) only lasted the first two days!"
