Quviviq (daridorexant) "Within the first week, I was able to fall asleep quickly. This relief has continued for a year. I have sleep apnea and had difficulty in falling asleep with all that equipment on my face. I intentionally skip nights when I am tired so that I can build up a supply for the 60 to 90 days my husband and I spend in France. Quviviq is not available in Europe. When I skip my dose, most of the time, I am still able to fall asleep, although sometimes it does take longer, but I am more likely to wake up two times, rather than once. Quviviq does not work when family issues or stress over traveling is overwhelming but this happens less than 5% of the time. My previous sleep patterns involved being unable to fall asleep before 1:30 to 2:00 am or later. With Quviviq, I have been able to go to sleep earlier. I sleep 8 to 9 hours, even after a daytime nap unless I set an alarm. I have no new daytime fatigue or sleepiness. I have experienced no other side effects. I am 79 and take 50mg."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "Insomnia has been an issue in my life for the past 20 years. Finally, I tried to address using trazodone (ineffective), and Ambien 5mg occasionally and eventually daily (moderate intestinal issues and decreased effectiveness) for the last 5 years. Trying to get away from the hypnotic/Benzo insomnia aides for sleeping and working with my PCP I switched to Quviviq 25 mg once nightly. I am finishing my third month now, and my sleep patterns have improved. At first, I had fit-full nights of sleeps with vivid dreams but slowly after the first couple weeks things started and have continued to improve. My sleep is nowhere near perfect but I now get sleepy at night (even before taking pill), and have longer nights of sleep. My vivid dreams have decreased some, NO intestinal issues, and some non-sedative grogginess that quickly dissipates in the morning. Perfect, no, but some good improvements and hopes for this to get even better."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "DO NOT TAKE THIS IF YOU TAKE GABAPENTIN! I took one 25mg pill an hour before bed but it did not put me to sleep. The doctor said to double the dose if one doesn't work. Two worked and I slept without waking up. The next day I felt terrible. I would compare the feeling to a really bad hangover. I was very tired, headache, felt dehydrated, and just off. It's a miracle I made it through work. Went to sleep when I got home and did not take the meds again. It's day two and I feel better but still don't feel good. I googled meds not to take with Quivivq and gabapentin is on the list. It intensifies side effects such as grogginess, and headache. Due to my gabapentin prescription, I will no longer take Quivivq."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "This medicine is horrible. Slept well first night probably due to exhaustion and not the med. After that I was waking up all night with a racing heart. Company actually tried talked me into continuing for a full 30 days as I had a free 30 day supply and then was going to be charged $90 a month with a discount. I lasted 7 more days with horrible sleep and daytime fatigue and heart palpations. I do not recommend."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "I have been taking Quviviq for about 45 days now. It is working as it should. I get a full 8 hours of sleep at night. During the day, I do feel sleepy, but at least now I get the sleep I need at night time. I am taking 50 mg along with Lunesta."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "This was absolutely horrible. The nightmares were so real and terrifying with sleep paralysis. I had a similar experience with Belsomra, but this was way worse. I felt like I had been fighting for my life all night. I had read the reviews of people having this same experience but I wanted to keep an open mind and try it anyway. One night was enough. Never again."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "I’ve been on Quviviq for about 3 weeks. Previously on Ambien CR for years. With Ambien I always got 4 hours straight of sleep but it took hours to fall asleep, with Quviviq I fall asleep within 1/2 hour as advertised but I’m up almost hourly. Initially I slept several hours in a row before waking but by week 3 I’ve been up every hour. I take L-Theanine next to my bed for every wake up to knock myself back out but the last couple of nights that hasn’t worked either. I regret refilling this medication. My doctor said you need to stick with it for a month to know the progress, but it’s been progressively worse for me. I think I’ll stop and eventually I have to fall asleep out of exhaustion as this certainly isn’t doing the trick."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "This is the worse sleeping medication ever. It takes over an hour to kick in then all it does is give horrible nightmares. After a week, I started having sleep paralysis and dream with in a dream experience. I do not recommend."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "I have worked to get off over a decade of ambien and was excited about the potential of this drug based on my research (trials seemed kinda bogus, paid for by pharm company?) and the over the top advertising. First 60 days free meds from pharm company, then a Nearly $500 a month, insurance covered $18 dollars!I really wish it had been everything touted. But after two week trial 50mg I must say it made me feel horrible. Anxious, ‘scratchy’ feeling brain and body. Hours to fall asleep and then unrestful sleep, awakening 3-4am unable to go back sleep. Woke up feeling raw. Bummer."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "Does not work very well for me. Slept like trash the nights I did take it. Did make me a little sleepy, but takes longer to work than Temazepam and Ambien, which work a lot better for me. In my opinion, works no better than 10mg of melatonin."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "I love this medication! I have been using it for about 8 months now. It has only gotten better as it has built up. It took a couple of weeks for me before I saw positive results. Don't give up if it feels like it isn't strong enough at first. I had really bad anxiety and panic attacks out of nowhere last summer along with insomnia for the first time. I was scared to try this but I am so glad I gave it a chance. I have always been someone with vivid dreams so that has continued but not necessarily scary. What I love is that it’s a slow drift off to sleep. I feel like it’s a deep sleep but I have kids, and if needed I can still wake up easily. If I get up to use the bathroom, I fall right back to sleep instead of overthinking and tossing and turning. The best part is my husband goes to bed later than me, and it doesn't wake me up anymore! I go to sleep around 11 pm and wake up so rested around 7 am. No feelings of grogginess. My doctor said it can be used long term safely."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "Night 1: Sleepiness about 20 minutes after taking. It almost felt like it was going to work. Unfortunately, after about 45 minutes the feeling of sleepiness went away. It took about 4 hours to fall asleep. Night 2: No feeling of sleepiness whatsoever. I have been laying in bed for 5 hours at this point. I decided to do further research into this drug, and this survey popped up."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "I've tried other sleep medication and nothing worked. My doctor then prescribed Quviviq and it has changed my life. Finally, I am getting a good night's sleep every night with no side effects. Prior to Quviviq, I was drinking a lot of alcohol in order to fall asleep and then when I would wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and not be able to fall back asleep. With Quviviq, I have completely stopped drinking alcohol, and when I wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, I fall back asleep quickly. I have seen several reviews where people said they took it for 1 or 2 nights and either had a bad experience or it didn't work at all. I had the same experience at first, but it took 5-6 days for it to begin working like it should. So, if you're a new user, give it some time to begin working properly. Also, if your insurance won't cover this medication like mine, Quviviq offers a free copay card so you only have to pay $25 per bottle. I prefer the 50mg over the 25mg."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "Fine line between stress insomnia and depression. 1 week in and this medication did not provide restful sleep. In fact, I was so depressed upon finally getting out of bed 7-8 hours later, all I wanted to do was hide from the hopelessness and go back to bed for another 4 hours. 50mg at bed 10pm but a good hour to fall asleep and awake by 3 or 4 am, then toss and turn for 3 hours. Rise, drink coffee, feel like a loser and go back to bed till 11am. Not functional and there’s no way I’m gambling my health to give this a month to do as it claims."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "I’ve been taking Quviviq 50mg for a week and it’s made a huge difference for me. I take it exactly as prescribed. I’m asleep within 30-45 minutes and I sleep several hours at a time, about 7-8 hours total. I always have to pee in the night and this is where it’s a miracle. I can get up, use the bathroom, and then go back to bed and fall asleep again. Before using this I might be up for hours after waking up at night. It’s also improving my sleep apnea which is strange but very welcome. I have had some vivid dreams but nothing bad. So far, so good."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "I had a horrible experience with this medication supposedly prescribed to help me sleep. I started having what I can only describe as a bad LSD type of “trip” which had a head rush like a freight train in my brain. I couldn’t get out of the nightmares and feeling like there was an evil presence that kept grabbing at my legs. I tried to wake up and tell my wife what was happening but I couldn’t talk or form the words. I will never allow myself to be under the influence of this medication which robbed me of a peaceful mental state and sleep. Beware of this medication. I was freaked out by the side effects until 4am when the major affect began to wear off. I quickly got out of bed to reorient myself with reality. My heart was beating in tune with the mental flashes caused by this drug. I will never take Quviviq again."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "Horrible Drug! I was prescribed this medication to help sleep. It has horrible side effects, mainly lots of joint and muscle pain. So much so that falling asleep is impossible and the pain continues into the next day. It also did not help at all with sleep. Not sure how anything like this could ever be approved for any reason other than to make someone’s night more miserable."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "I honestly didn't realize how much it was helping until I couldn't get my prescription refilled for over a week. During that week, I noticed I wasn't comfortable at all when trying to fall asleep, and it took a lot longer for me to fall asleep than usual. From 20 minutes to about 2.5 hours. I also woke up at least 4 times a night when not using it. This drug isn't supposed to make you feel tired or give you any kind of high, so don't expect that. I've tried so many different sleep medications due to my treatment-resistant insomnia, except benzodiazepines, and this is the first one that actually seems to work."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "I have a long history of insomnia and trials of different drugs in nearly every class that haven’t worked. Quviviq is the only drug in its class that works for me, and I consistently get an additional 4-5 hours of sleep per night on this medication. No nasty side effects, no complaints, just much improved sleep! I would call this a moderate to heavy sleeper."

Quviviq (daridorexant) "Been on Ambien. Works great. No problems. Dr. decided to stop prescribing class 3 and 4 meds at his office. I asked for Quivivq because of the commercial. What a mistake. I haven’t slept for 3 days since I started it. Can’t fall asleep for 4-5 hours. When I finally fall asleep in the early morning I’m awakened often by nightmares, headaches, and body pain from constantly trying to get comfortable. Then I have to be up for work. Massive migraine every morning. Feel dizzy and lightheaded all day. I am stopping the awful stuff today."

I had to take it for about 2 weeks before it started working, but now that it does, it’s the best thing ever! I sleep every night. I’ve had chronic sleep issues since I was a child, so 40 years, and this is the first thing that has ever worked. It is amazing."
