"My true experience with (Flexeril) is very positive. It will reduce your flare-ups. I have chronic myofascial pain syndrome and post-traumatic fibromyalgia. I received this disability from a (auto accident). Post means (trauma). It is wise to make sure you are with the proper practitioner. Not everyone is capable of treating this painful illness."

"I have fibromyalgia as well as sciatica, and it has helped with both pain and sleep. Every evening between 7 pm and 8 pm, I take 10 mg, which helps me sleep through the night and have less pain the next day."

"Took this for less than a week, my blood pressure was high, and my heart beat was high. I could hear my heart beating through my ear, made me nervous, and I felt a lot of anxiety. It took me a few days to feel normal once I stopped it."

"After years of muscle tightness, spasms, and horrific pain, I was finally diagnosed with fibro. The condition of muscle tightness had me on Flexeril first. The condition always returns after meds ran out. With FM diagnosis came Cymbalta, which helped some. The magic was Lyrica and Flexeril. I can function semi-normally, if I don't overdo things, I can stay pain-free (although the pain is still there, a missed dose of all my meds showed me this). Flexeril has helped me so much, and I am ever so grateful for the semi-normal life. Medicines wear off on me and stop working after a while, so I pretty much have to switch every few months. Honestly, I don't mind switching every few months. I did at first."

Cyclobenzaprine "This medicine has been amazing for me. I was unable to sleep on my right side for the last 5 years due to pain, and now I can, with almost no pain. The only downsides are that it causes extreme dry mouth for me (which gets worse when I am nervous) and constipation. But it is worth it for the pain relief I am getting."

Cyclobenzaprine "When I first had pain 19 years ago, I was treated with Flexeril for six months. I thought I was getting better. I stopped taking Flexeril, and it was a false feeling of wellness. Two months later, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Now I am on Flexeril again after a car accident, and it is helping. I only plan to stay on it a few weeks since I fear addiction."

Cyclobenzaprine "I used Amrix with Klonopin and Pristiq, and I sleep, finally. The combination works for me. The only problem is it takes me a while to open my eyes in the morning. I am disabled, so this side effect is not a problem."

"I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a few years back, and there was no way to help control my pain and stiffness except narcotic pain pills. About a year ago, I started trying to take Flexeril during the day to help with the tight feeling tenderness. It made me too drowsy to use during the day. So then I started to take 10 mg at night, and it helped some with the muscle tenderness. I then tried taking 20 mg at night, and it really helps with the next day tenderness. I take it in conjunction with Lyrica, and it works well to ease most of the fibromyalgia pain. The only problem is that it leaves me with a dry mouth in the morning. The drowsiness isn't a problem as long as it's taken at night. It relaxes all the muscles, and that helps the fibromyalgia pain."

"I have used Flexeril for about 9 years now. It works great to ease my muscle pain and spasms. A lot of people have trouble with it making them sleepy, but I have never had that trouble. I can take it during the day with no drowsiness at all, which is really nice. However, it would be nice if it made me a little sleepy on the nights I am having trouble. It is a great medication, and I am very grateful for it."

"I take cyclobenzaprine occasionally for fibromyalgia pain and overuse of muscles from crocheting. I can't tolerate more than 7.5 mg per night because it will cause leg cramps. It's a good sleep and relaxation aid. If it didn't dry my mouth out so terribly, I'd give it a 10."

Cyclobenzaprine "I used Savella for three years without any significant relief, other than helping me cope with the ongoing pain. Tried Lyrica, which seemed to cause anxiety, but recently, my pain management doctor started me on Amrix, which I take at dinner time, and Gabapentin (Neurontin), which I take at bedtime with Ambien. This combination seems to be amazing. I hope it is not short-lived."

"I have been on this medication for about 10 years, since first getting diagnosed. Initially, they wanted me to take three times a day - I was a zombie. So, the rest of the time, I just have taken to sleep. Not really effective anymore for that."

"Been taking Flexeril for a little over a year now for fibromyalgia, but only at bedtime. I sleep VERY sound, and don't really want to get up in the morning, which is a problem since I have a full-time job! Recently, my husband asked his doctor if he would put him on a smaller dose of Flexeril, and his doctor said he wouldn't because it's not meant for long-term use. So, I dug around and found this website, and SO glad I did! I have been feeling increasingly depressed, short-tempered, easily agitated, etc., and now I am wondering if it's the Flexeril! Thinking about taking melatonin instead, as I can't deal with being 'Debby Downer' all the time...."

"The secret to cyclobenzaprine working is multiple, rapid dosing. The magic lies in the long, strong half-life. I typically start with 20 mgs, and 30-45 minutes later take another 10 mgs. And possibly another 10 mgs within an hour after that. I've never needed more than that in a session, or couldn't stay awake to take more anyhow. In only the most severe instance did I do another session about 16 hours later, and it was the initial 20 mgs followed by another 10 mgs. I find it pairs with ibuprofen or naproxen effectively. I notice a good mood for a few days after using and have experimented with 10 mgs as a nightly routine against depression with outstanding results. It can bring down bad trips, and using the pain session dosing works a million times better for my anxiety if I feel an attack coming on, like before dental work appointments, than Valium ever did."

"New primary doctor was concerned about my muscle pain and preliminarily diagnosed me with fibromyalgia and referred me to a rheumatologist. She also gave me Flexeril to see if it would help, as it has been helpful for others. However, it was not for me. I noticed that I was very drowsy all the time, and it interacted with my other meds. The major downside was it did nothing to relieve the pain from fibromyalgia, either, which was confirmed by a diagnosis from the rheumatologist."

"It helps most of the time. But I also take hydrocodone/Ac twice a day. I also have rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis. And take two different meds for that: leflunomide and methotrexate."

Cyclobenzaprine "This medicine has helped greatly reduce pain, and has made it possible for me to take less pain medication. The only problem I have had with it is if I take it too late in the evening, it is sometimes very hard to wake up the next morning. It is best for me, at least, to take it at least 10 hours before I need to wake up."
