Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "I'm 27 years old, drinking up to 4 bottles of wine a day and have been doing so for at least 8 years EVERY DAY. Before that, I was smoking weed since I was 14 years old. I lost two jobs to alcohol - one at Apple headquarters and one at another company, which were fantastic names to have on my C.V. Thankfully, I am now back on Librium and am happy to be able to write down my signature and write a straight and readable line without shaking to get it down on paper. I have liver disease and alcohol-related seizures and have lied to close and loved ones, constantly denying and even stealing from their alcohol cabinets out of greed and being scared of getting withdrawals... As we all know - they are UN-BEAR-ABLE. Thank God for Librium."

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "I have just returned home from speaking with a specialist regarding withdrawal from alcohol with Librium. I can't stand the endless lost days to drink any longer. The sweats, dry retching in the mornings, the sleepless nights, drums in my head, the moods, not being able to concentrate, etc. Two-plus litre bottles of rum each day! Craziness!! Looking so much forward to my detox next week, new life, new me, new family, forever! Your comments on the use of Librium have been so helpful. Thank you all! Wish me luck, keep you posted."

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "A miracle for alcohol withdrawal. I was taken to the ER for hallucinating and was about to have a seizure after going cold turkey for 72 hours, BIG mistake. Librium completely fixed it in a few mins. If you are a heavy drinker, get this please. You only need to take it for a week and quitting is easy. It did make me drowsy but ALL the withdrawal symptoms were gone."

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "My husband has been an addict for 17 years. Started with pot, then meth, and he quit meth for 7 years. After quitting that awful deadly drug, he began to drink more. That's when I met him. Got him to slow down to beer. He is the most amazing person sober; that was the person I fell in love with. Then it got worse. He started to drink vodka - 2 pints a day, 6 shots of fireball, beer, and 2 cans of red punch with booze in it, that I know of. He said there was more. I was scared he was going to die. I didn't want my children to watch their father drink his life away. My biggest fear was them growing up to be alcoholics themselves. Finally, got him to the doctor. Librium saved him so far. 11 days clean, not one drop. He stayed home for detox. He is doing awesome."

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "I'm a 28 year old male who fell in love with alcohol at around 17, drinking with friends having fun. I noticed I had a problem when I found myself drinking alone everyday daydreaming about how great life was going to be when I quit drinking; (and how easy it would be). Boy was I wrong. Drinking anything I could get my hands on, the cheap high percentage stuff, beer runs, vanilla extract etc.. Not eating cause the fear of losing the buzz or easier to catch one. Then I started having seizures (about 10) when I'd stop. Straight frightening. I'd claim to have "epilepsy" denying it was the booze. I've been to countless detoxes and rehabs but never took quitting serious. This time around my doc prescribed me librium 10mg and it's good I suppose. No seizures. Day 12 without a drop. I pray for everyone going through all the symptoms of withdrawing. It's no joke."

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "Alcohol withdrawal can cost your life! I have been in 4 detoxes in 8 months. I drink a gallon, sometimes more, of vodka a day. One detox was in January for 7 days, one at the end of April for 3 days, one in June for 5 days, and one in July for 5 days. Librium works wonders. The reason the days spent in detox depend on the AMA policy. Do not do this on your own. I have had seizures, convulsions, hallucinations, DTs, it's no joke. Go to your doctor, tell him/her what's going on. I drank extremely heavily, and I was prescribed 75mg every four hours on day 1, then 50mg every 4 hours on day 2, then 25mg every 4 hours on day 3, then 25mg every 8 hours on day 4, then 25mg before bed on day 5. The only way to tackle alcohol withdrawal is with Librium."

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "Going cold turkey, I experienced insomnia, sweating, anxiety, and very high pulse. Then I decided to get medical help. They gave me Librium 25mg four times a day for the first three days, 25mg three times a day for the next three days, 25mg twice a day for the following three days, and 25mg at bedtime for the last three days. Librium sure saved me from convulsing and ending up at the emergency room or dead! P.S. Always add a good supplement of vitamin B complex 100mg; very helpful when you detox. Alcohol prevents your body from absorbing vitamin B. Good luck!! One day at a time :)"

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "Been drinking on and off for years. Going through a binge yet again. Day 5 now of drinking the wine, day and night. Hiding it and any excuse to go out to so I can buy more. I have took Librium twice before and it did help. So please wish me luck as I'm back to the Drs today to try again for the final time, no more thinking 2 wines and I will be fine, as that's when it escalates. Good luck everyone in your recovery. X"

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "I've drank heavily my whole life mostly beer, but in the last years added vodka. I'd wake, make a vodka and water, lay back and drink it until I felt 'better' enough to get up. I wanted badly to stop, every time I tried, I got the DTs, so bad I couldn't type or write. The first day not drinking the hallucinations started. Spiders, I thought people were there that were not, even talking to them. My best friend suggested that I might want to try detox. I still felt I could do it on my own if I could just be strong enough. Each time got worse, shakier, scarier, sicker. I finally relented. The time period before I admitted was spent drinking myself to a BAC (Blood Alcohol Concentration of 0.348) They immediately gave me three 25mg pills of librium. Then in 4 hrs, 3 more. The dreaded DTs and other frightening things did not occur. Over 4 or 5 days they tapered the dosage of librium. The last day I did not take the Librium, no withdrawal symptoms. I haven't drank alcohol since admitted 5 weeks ago. I have no desire. Librium was my ticket out of alcoholism."

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "I was sober for three years and it was great. During that time I got my bachelors degree, was promoted in the military, and lost 50 pounds. Then out of nowhere I relapsed. I kept drinking for about 11 months and realized I was spiralling out of control again. Gaining weight, lost motivation, decreased work efficiency, staying in bed all day. I went to my doctor and told him I wanted to quit and he prescribed me 25mg librium for four days. First day 2 pills every six hours, second day 1 pill every six hours, third day 1 pill every 12 hours, last day 1 pill before bedtime. I can't say these made me feel much better, maybe slightly, but what they did help me do was sleep AMEN...that is always the worst! I've been sober for a week again!"

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "I decided to quit drinking a few weeks ago. I experience some pretty scary side effects including hallucinations. After two visits to the ER and one hospital stay for detox, I was still having a lot of anxiety and a fast heart rate and insomnia for weeks. I sought the advice of my doctor who was compassionate and prescribed me Librium. It helped me immediately. My heart rate returned to normal, my anxiety diminished and I finally was able to sleep through the night. I urge anyone who wants to quit drinking to talk to their doctor about Librium."

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "I've been an every second of everyday drinker, (24-30) 5.9% ice beers for a year and a half. I started to have severe severe severe withdrawal's and DT's if I wasn't consuming that amount. I went to the dr. And was prescribed ativan. Didn't do anything. Then I went back and got Librium. Praises to the most high because I haven't had a drop of beer since. Absolutely no withdrawal's and I'm feeling better than ever. 10/10 for Librium. Highly recommended. Good luck!!!"

If you need help with the tremors, anxiety, vomiting, and irritability, please ask your doctor for a prescription. I was taking 10mg 3x per day, and it was a miracle."

He is on Librium now, 120 mg a day. 3rd day in, snoozing peacefully. No sickness this time, not a noticeable shake, eating fine and having tonic water. I snooze peacefully now because we want to live."

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "I was drinking for 4 years and tried numerous rehab centers, all of which did not believe in providing drugs, just vitamins.... I tried to stop on my own the other day and sat in the living room shaking and shivering. I finally went to my Dr. Yesterday and he prescribed Librium to help with the shakes and anxiety. Day 2 and feeling much better... the drug works for the shakes and pain of withdrawal... I know I have a long road ahead to actually clean up my act, but the drug is a great start to dealing with the discomfort. I tried to write on my computer yesterday but the shakes would not allow me to make any sense, today, I can write with fairly good ability. The Librium definitely helps. Good Luck everyone in recovery, it can be a struggle"

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "I am 22 and have been a very heavy drinker since age 15. I have not went more than about three days at a time without drinking. Never a couple, every time to the point of being drunk. The past few weeks I went on a bender with very little sleep and drinking every day. Two days ago I went into a seizure at work. I was sent to the ER where the doctor told me my alcohol levels were so high he didn't know how someone my age could tolerate that amount of consumption. He gave me a script for Librium and sent me home . I had one more seizure waiting for the pills. Since then they have kept my symptoms so manageable that I can function. Thank god for this medication. I feel I would die without it"

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "I have been an alcoholic for over 15 years. Every time I've tried to quit I ended up having a seizure. I've had over 20 that I can even recall! But I've been sober for 11 days and the librium saved me! Once I started feeling nauseous I took two librium and felt better!!! I'm telling you from personal experience, do NOT try to detox without medication! If you want to try to get sober I would recommend Librium over anything else!!!"

I lost my job because I couldn't stop drinking because when I did stop, I got the shakes, nausea and seizures. Thankfully Librium was the drug that helped me stop and quit this vicious cycle of drinking."

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "Was a 2.5/3 pint a day vodka drinker for 3 yrs. I'd medicate on it. 2 or 3 shots every couple hours around the clock. I started needing the vodka to stay asleep at night. I'd wake up with the pounding heart and shakes. And my guts were sour (constant diarrhea). I couldn't go more than 3 hrs without it or I'd go into full blown paranoia and anxiety attacks. I'm afraid of drugs. I hate pharmaceuticals. And I was DONE drinking so I tried to wean myself over and over again and failed hard. Finally broke down and went to detox. Librium was their go to. The stuff is amazing. Made detox a breeze to be honest. I wasn't even tired on it. I felt normal to be honest. No shakes, no paranoia, slept good (vivid dreams). 25mg 3 times day for 10 days."

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "I detoxed once inpatient and was given Librium in unknown amounts. I relapsed a few months later, back to drinking a bottle of vodka every two days. I went to a substance abuse doctor who said I could safely do it at home. Took 50mg right away, 50mg that night. 75mg day 2, 50mg day 3 and 25mg day 4. Those were taken at once either in the morning or at night. I did morning because throwing up and shakes were the worst part of the withdrawal. Working like a charm. Highly recommend to anyone. I tried cold turkey and that's how I ended up inpatient the first time because I was dangerously sick by day 3. Librium is a Godsend for withdrawal."

Librium (chlordiazepoxide) "I wish I'd of known of Librium sooner. Lost my business to a natural disaster and then lived on coors lights for a year. Started as fun, ended months later with arguments and blackouts...then the morning shakes and dry heaves. Drove to the urgent care last week and skipped the line, told the clerk I needed immediate help, couldn't hold my water bottle. In a bed within 10 mins. Blood pressure through the roof. Gave me a fluid and vitamin drip along with Ativan for the anxiety and a Librium for the shakes. 15 mins later, didn't feel at deaths door. Two hours later, headed home with my sister at the helm (couldn't drive, too doped up). Been a week, back to running, surfing and getting my life back together. If you're sick of withdrawals, get it"
