Celebrex (celecoxib) "I just started using celebrex a few days ago.i was taking 1600-3200 mg daily for severe knee pain. It barely helped, and I have had stomach ulcers, so my pcp recommend this med. It's only helped a little but,but I'd like to give it a few months. Today I woke up feeling sick.i have a hot, flushed face and just feel terrible. and I have not been feeling well lately anyway and have wheezing and a cough ..but i hope this isn't a side effect."

Celebrex (celecoxib) "I envy the people who have had success with Celebrex. I need both knees replaced for osteoarthritis, and I also have pain in my back, neck, elbows, hips and wrists. I've been on Celebrex for 6 or 7 years. When I first used it, it used to make me very dizzy. But it NEVER ever relieved any pain for me! I always had to pop multiple Tylenol, Motrin or Advil to supplement, in order to get even minimum relief. My doctor put me on Arthrotec today, and I am really hoping for success. If that doesn't work, he's going to try me on Tylenol-3 (codeine-based)."

Celebrex (celecoxib) "When I feel like the Tinman, Celebrex gives me total relief. It’s miraculous, imo. I don’t take it every day, because I fear its effect on my kidneys, and my doctor said I can take it as needed. I’m so grateful to have it for the times when I’m seriously inhibited by pain and stiffness. It really works!"

Celebrex (celecoxib) "Been taking Celebrex for about 2-3 weeks for what the doctors believe is widespread Osteoarthritis. I have seen no difference since beginning it and I take it twice a day. I do not see any negative effects either."

Celebrex (celecoxib) "I used to take celebrex daily. I had no pain at all in my back or hips. Then it was decided not to allow people to take it daily because it may cause heart issues, and my insurance decided to stop paying for any portion. Since then, it hurts to stand upright, and I had to have bilateral hip replacement. That was after two years of living with no cartilage in one joint and no pain relief given (bone on bone pain)."

"I have been taking Celecoxib for approximately two weeks now. Having osteoarthritis in my knees and feet for as long as I can remember, I can tell you I haven't felt this good in a long time. I am encouraged!"

Celebrex (celecoxib) "I was taking Celebrex in 2010 for hip arthritic pain. It worked very well for a while. When pain worsened I tried to increase dosage a bit. Maybe unrelated, but soon after I had a mini stroke - numbness in the right side of my lip & tongue and issues ever since."

"I was prescribed this (celecoxib) because I have osteoarthritis in both knees, and I'm allergic to other nsaids. The first two weeks were great! I felt 10 years younger, started going back to the gym, and was able to move easily. And then 2.5 weeks in, I woke up one morning with my chest and back covered in 1/2 inch wide red spots, and yellow spots appearing on my eyelids with some swelling on the eyelids. I stopped taking it, took some Benadryl, and it took about 36 hours for the red spots to subside. Still some yellow on my eyelids."

"400 mg daily...carpel tunnel in both wrists. Diagnosed by a nerve test and I poo-pooed it. Then I ran out of celecoxib for six days. I could not use my right hand to push my self out of my recliner, typing was tough, painting my neighbors house was way more work. That is when I went to max dose. I have lived way longer than ever expected (70) and evidently I need this drug. No rash- no stomach pain. My collapsing discs and bad arthritis seem to be helped too."

"My osteoarthritis of my left hip and lower back was so bad yesterday morning that I could barely walk and was having awful muscle spasms, but after taking 200 mg of celecoxib my pain virtually vanished within two hours = this is a miracle drug for osteoarthritis ... so far no side effects. I will be taking 200 mg each morning for prevention."

"I take Celebrex when I'm really in pain with my arthritis, works very well. Scared of the side effects of irregular heart beat as I have a heart murmur. I have had none so far. Really good medication if you're in pain."

"Celebrex (200 mgs) worked wonders for my osteoarthritis. But after reading the Vanderbilt Study, I stopped taking the drug, and switched to naproxen, which in the Precision Study was just about as good at controlling pain. Take naproxen, however, with a small dose of famotidine for stomach protection. Remember that all NSAIDs (not aspirin) can bring about heart problems. The Vanderbilt Study added a NEW and additional troubling factor that might affect the heart."

"I am 59 and have arthritis in my right knee. I had a steroid injection which was great for only 5 weeks living pain free. I have been taking Generic Brand of Celebrex for over a month now. I take 200 mg in the morning. I don't feel like it helps me much. My knee hurts terribly and if I don't take it, I do notice worsening pain but it doesn't take the pain away as I would have hoped it would. I have also gained weight taking this. I am already overweight so I am going to stop for awhile. I am exercising with cardio chair workouts, weights and doing knee arthritis video workouts which I feel give me more relief than the Celebrex. Glad it works well for some of you though. The weight gain has me very upset. I can't afford to gain weight."

"I've only been on it a few days but the improvement in my shoulder is so remarkable I had to leave a review. First off before I was prescribed this I was taking 500mg of acetaminophen three times per day and it didn't seem to do much so I asked my doctor for something better. I had arthroscopic surgery in my right shoulder a decade ago and they told me at the time that I had the beginning stages of arthritis so it has caused pain especially when I sleep on that side at night. My doctor did a ROM test and it was fine except for I couldn't put my right hand behind my back. What is remarkable is that after taking this drug for only two days now I can after a decade of it not going behind my back without left hand assistance I can now bring it behind all on its own. Plus the pain of laying on my side is gone. I'm ecstatic!"

Celebrex (celecoxib) "After my knee surgery, not a replacement, the surgeon recommended meloxicam, and let me tell you, it did not work at all. So after looking at the reviews here, which guided me to get Celebrex, my doctor called it in. Obviously, I need pre-authorization from the insurance company. They approved it within six days for the first time in three years. I was able to walk without a lot of pain. This stuff really works compared to meloxicam, and my pharmacist said that the reason it works is because it’s very targeted."

"I've been taking 100mg of Celebrex each morning for three days so far. On the third day it seemed to kick in, still have some pain but about 50% less. I'm hoping it'll get even better in time. The doctor prescribed 200mg but I was afraid to take such a high dose due to some bad reports I had read so asked for 100mg just to try. So far so good, no side effects apart from not being able to sleep properly and feeling like had too much coffee. So far Celebrex is the only thing that helped me after all the other drugs I've tried including eating tons of Turmeric which by the way actually helped more than Ibuforen or aspirin. I'll see how the Celebrex goes as time goes on but so far I'm glad I've tried it."
