For Iron Deficiency Anemia "I've been using OTC carbonyl iron (65mg) with vitamin C (125mg) once or twice a day for several years to treat iron deficiency anemia, caused by chronic enteritis, with good results. The only side effects have been constipation and dark stools, similar to iron fumarate."

For Iron Deficiency Anemia "I actually have Iron Deficiency without Anemia I cannot report on how this vitamin affected by low ferritin levels because after only 2 weeks, I started vomiting in the back of my throat when both sitting up and laying down. It got so bad I woke myself up from the vomit in the middle of the night and couldn't stop coughing. After stopping this vitamin (brand Vitron-C) for 3 days, the vomit taste and feeling went away. No more problems. It did keep my fatigue and RLS away."
