Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "Ok, my wife has been on this Zubsolv for over a week now. At first, it seemed to help her. Yesterday, she woke up with a rash on her lower arms. She has gotten really depressed, her anxiety has gone through the roof, she snaps back at the slightest things. It is not helping with her cravings, it seems the longer she takes it, the further my wife becomes a different person from when she was doing pain pills. I'm starting to think it was better she stayed on the pain pills. Has anyone else heard of anything like this before? I'm at a loss for words, and I don't know what I need to do or what to do at this point other than start cutting her dosages down and wean her off this garbage......"

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "Started 8 mg of Suboxone 6 months ago. Tapered down over the last 6 months to 1 mg by cutting the Suboxone 2 mg film in half. Suboxone is amazing and does everything it says. Make sure you do it with a doctor. The withdrawal symptoms are not fun for at least a week, I am on day 5. Chills, flu-like symptoms, anxiety, insomnia, headache, nausea, loss of appetite among symptoms. First day I'm feeling better and haven't used Oxy in half a year. Take some Tylenol, some Ativan. All helped me, now I'm off it."

For Opioid Use Disorder "Buprenorphine has saved my life. I was banging heroin and then fentanyl with my last relapse. It isn't right for someone who wants to be 100% med-free, but for those who just want to feel normal/stable after years of opioid abuse - it's great. I can function normally without any problems. It is an opioid, and you will be physically dependent on it. The only negative is the Dr. Reddy's generic brand strip. I have used all the other generic and name brand tabs and strips without any issue...except that brand. It made me so sick. Nauseous, diarrhea, anxiety, tired, achy, it is HORRIBLE and should be pulled from the market. I see a class action lawsuit coming in the near future for Dr. Reddy!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "Have been on Suboxone for 2 years. Started on 6 mg, now down to 4 mg. Completely turned my life around. Now the pharmacy has switched to the generic, and I'm not feeling well. Worst I've felt in 2 years. Sweats, anxiety, something is different with the generic. Quite often, a generic just will not work as well. What are others' experiences with the generic? Will insurance pay for Suboxone when there is a generic available?"

Buprenorphine / naloxone "I switched from 2 mg films (tried cutting 8 mg into 1/4s). I'm highly allergic to aspartame, and it took us months to figure out why I was having ulcers/swelling. Now I take Zubsolv 1.4 twice a day for pain. The only bad thing about this drug is that I get 'wired.' But if I take it at the same time each day, not only is my pain rated about a 2, I also avoid the headache and wired feeling. I do wish I could cut it in 1/4ths sometimes because I think I could take even less than I take and be fine. Oh, well. It's still an awesome alternative to pills!"

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "Day 6 without Suboxone. The first three days/nights were very difficult. RLS, insomnia, anxiety. I could not sleep. My doctor prescribed Trazodone and Neurontin. Trazodone helped on night 4. Slept 2 hours. Today I still feel the need for subs, but it is more mental than physical. Looking forward to being free of any kind of opiates."

I just started with the Suboxone 2.0-5 mg. I immediately suffered from a headache, shakes, and jittery feelings. Muscles got super tight. X is bad."

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I was taking tramadol for about a year for chronic pain, and it was time for me to come off of the drug. So I called up Spiro Behavior Health. Do not go to the one in Chattanooga, TN, they are extremely rude. So the doctor put me on Suboxone for a week and two days. I am agitated, paranoid, nauseated. I brought it up to the doctor. 'It'll be fine. Don't worry, and don't forget you can be on this medication for as long as you like. No side effects' while I am telling him about my side effects. After I went to the desk to schedule my appointments, the lady at the desk literally rolled her eyes because I couldn't do an appointment she wanted to make. Anyway, if you like not having control of your mind, feeling sick and paranoid, this medication is for you. Get off of it as fast as you can... just say no!"

Buprenorphine / naloxone for Opioid Use Disorder "I was on heroin. I went through a detox program in 2015. I needed a drug such as Bunavail or Suboxone or methadone to support me as I recovered. My goal was to also detox from Bunavail. I began by taking lesser amounts by cutting it in half. However, after a time, I began to have full panic attacks. That had never happened to me, so I did not realize what was going on with me. My doctor was convinced I had underlying emotional causes. I know that Bunavail triggers the anxiety. I'm still on it, and if I get just a little too much in my system, anxiety begins. I take deep breaths to keep it from panic. Also, I must take hydroxyzine to control the panic. That puts me to sleep. Recently, I was given Lexapro to help. However, that made it ten times worse. I went to the emergency room. No one seems to know what to do to help. I want Bunavail totally out of my system. And if I still have the same problem, then I would know some other problems are in me."

"I certainly have experienced a time when I attempted taking Suboxone bought off the street and did not know the severity in the true fact that you definitely do have to wait 20 or 24 hours after the last use of heroin until you can start taking the Suboxone for it to work effectively. I did experience skin crawls and severe anxiety, and my mind was tripping out in its own bad way. I remember telling myself a person could not even pay me loads of money to try Suboxone again, but guess what? I had only the choice later on down the road (after getting arrested) of going cold turkey or Suboxone. I chose Suboxone and tried it correctly, and it helped my withdrawals nicely!"
