"I took 150mg a day for about a week when I woke up one morning with debilitating dizziness. I could barely move all day. The next day was a tiny bit better but this continued for several days. I thought I had vertigo! I was a little nauseous, so dizzy, headaches, felt heavy, was retaining water, my stomach was bad and I was so bloated (the way I used to feel before my period). I finally realized that it must be the black cohosh and sure enough read about all the possible side effects that I didn’t know about. I stopped taking it about 5 days ago and I’m very slowly starting to feel better. If you are someone who is sensitive to medication, DO NOT TAKE THIS!! It literally made me sick."

"I have been on this product (Estroven) for 2 weeks. I know, it says that hot flashes will stop after a month, so stick to it, BUT I then began to have knife sharp cramping and bloating like a period. I started having extremely dark and cloudy urine and on top of that anxious thoughts and moodiness, like I was on my period!!! I couldn’t understand it, I actually just thought I was getting sick, until I read the side effects of Black Cohosh ( NIH health black-cohosh). I thought with it being all natural, I would have a good experience. No, I didn’t. And It can cause liver damage! No thank you!"

"My naturopath gave it to me for the hot flashes. The first dose I was up all night with anxiety and my heart beating really hard, insomnia and I felt like garbage- joints hurt, TMJ, worst headache ever, constantly using the bathroom . Advil didn’t help at all. When it was time to get up I could barely make myself breakfast and about a half hour later the headache was overwhelming and I had to call out sick from work. I slept for 2 hours while constantly getting hot flashes (I generally don’t get them during the day) and my jaw clenched tight and the headache still hasn't gone away. Totally not taking this again. My headache was so bad I got a covid test to make sure that wasn’t it."

"I had bought estroven weight management. It did help with moods and hot flashes. But I was noticing my weight going up, I had gained 7lbs in one week. My diet had not changed. I started looking into the side effects of black cohosh and weight gain/ water retention were possible side effects. For me it's not worth taking. Excess weight for me causes pain in my hips and back . I've stopped taking this product ."

"I started taking this, but 40mg 3 months ago. I had no side effects. It did help with the hot flashes. I ran out and OMG, the flashes were back after not taking it for 2 days. I decided to up the mg I was taking since it didn't get rid of them completely. Hopefully now that I have them back in a higher dosage it will help a little more. However, I would recommend trying it. It won't work for everyone but it did me."

"After many years of living the menopausal nightmare! Have only started Taido Menoa for two days now. I live in France and it is impossible to have Estrogen therapy (bad for you !) which I would much prefer, from what I have read from the other comments, the adverse effects seem to be almost immediate. No raging flatulence or the screaming poops (as yet) so hoping to be one of the few who benefits. Has anyone else taken this?"

"I got a high dose black cohosh pill after reading up on its possible benefits. I was having several hot flashes an hour that went on all day and night. After one day my hot flashes were gone! What I did gain was terrible sulfer gas and diarrhea. I didn't make to the toilet in time!! Oh boy. Disappointed Trading one bad symptom for another. Guess I'm going to burn up again. Why isn't there help for us?"

"Black Cohosh did not work. I took one pill for four nights. My belly swelled bigger everyday. I was VIOLENTLY ILL. Vomiting, headache 1000 times worse than a migraine for 10 hours and diarrhea. Its been four days and I am still nauseous. Anti acids, dry toast and chicken soup is all I can stomach. I cannot wait for it to wear off. Never again will I try Voodoo Witch Doctor remedies."
