"I had been taking it for about a week when I realized I was having a reaction ..I had the worse migraine that I could not shake. I was emotional and full of anxiety. I also, believe it affected my blood pressure. I really felt bad all over for several days. Took my last one 3 days ago and still feel some issues. I will not be taking this again."

"I have been taking 40mg of black cohosh for two months. It has worked very well for night sweats and slight moodiness. The only side effect could be weight gain. I am up a couple of pounds with no changes other than taking black cohosh. However the weight gain could just be menopause. I did try a stronger dose at first, 940mg because that is all I could find. Within a month I had severe dizziness so I went down to my current dosage. Seems to be working just fine. To me this is a life saver."

"I took one pill to help with my Hot Flashes. It has been 5 days sinceI took the pill and ever since I have been dealing with painful diarrhea w/ a lot of blood in my stool. been to the emergency room for this and they determined that it was from this one pill. my Dr. has put me on famotidine to help relieve my issue. 5 days in and I'm still passing everything I eat within a half an hour of eating. been absolutely miserable. Please beware not only am I out the $7 for the pills but also the cost of the Emergency care visit, and lab cost for the blood work but also missed work due to it."

"My dr prescribed black cohosh due to low libido (I'm 59 yrs young). I'm 1 of the rare women who's not had menopausal issues such as moodiness, hot flashes, night sweats etc. I've been taking it almost 2 weeks now & overall I feel good with no side effects. Currently, I would recommend it but being sure to take it as prescribed. It'll be few more days til I can see my bf, I'll really know then how it works for libido!"

"I started black cohosh 1 week ago for perimenopause and just realized, after thinking I was experiencing a kidney infection, or maybe even about to pass a stone, that it is from this supplement! I've never had any issues with either my entire life, but something has been very wrong. Very nauseous, daily throbbing headaches, and extremely bloated! I am so thankful something told me to look this up! In the trash they shall go!!!!"

"I started taking this in hopes that it would help my horrible PMS. It didn’t, but it did get me pregnant! I had tried everything else and gave up on that dream, but still wanted to sort out my hormones. It did make me nauseous and my Reflexologist could feel a change in my liver after it, but the end result was worth it. Everyone’s chemistry is different, so you have to be a scientist and experiment."

"I began taking a compound supplement with Black Cohosh because of a recent PCOS diagnosis and hot flashes. I immediately noticed the lack of hot flashes and night sweats but the side effects were too intense to continue use. After 1 month, my weight increased significantly, I felt heavy and tired, I was constantly bloated and my usual constipation worsened. I would not recommend taking Black Cohosh unless it is prescribed to you. For reference, I am 31 and have never had issues with weight gain in the past."
