"Hospital changed me to bisoprolol due to intolerance of Emconcor. I took 7 mg and could not stay awake, reduced this to 5 mg. I had nosebleeds, bloating, sore eyes, so I reduced to 2.5 mg, now got flatulence, gout, all in 4 weeks. HOWEVER, my heart rhythm and blood pressure are at their best for many years."

"Severe joint pain, cramps, fatigue, neck pain. Skin itching and eye area. I was on 5 mg, cut in half to 2.5 mg and still had the pains. I have stopped this bisoprolol. After 24 hrs, skin itching has stopped after the 2nd day without this med. Heart rate up a little, will evaluate after 5 days."

"I am on bisoprolol for 6 weeks. The current dose suits me, 2.5 in the morning and 2.5 in the evening. I had many missing beats, but now they have been dramatically reduced. This is a good medication because I used to take the same dose of ivabradine, and it reduced my heart rate to 40. I recommend this drug in 2 small doses of 2.5 each."

"I had angioplasty a couple of years back. Initially, I was prescribed 5 mg, but now it has been reduced to 2.5 mg. It made my heartbeat in the region of 55 to 60. It makes you feel tired always. I want to give it up for a few days to check if tiredness reduces."

"I was first on metoprolol 25 mg succinate for POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), and it worked well but made me gain 14 pounds in about 2 months, despite eating healthy and exercising. Bisoprolol 5 mg fumarate is what I was switched to, I take 1/4 every 6 hours and it works well. I do think it contributes to my shortness of breath, but it’s manageable and not every day. I haven’t noticed weight gain, I’ve lost 4 pounds while on it, so that’s good. Overall, I’m happy with it, I just hope I can stay at this dose and it still be effective for me as time goes on."

"Been on 3.75mg for two years. Recently I am feeling very very lightheaded and have had to lie down all day. I will try decreasing the dosage to 2.5 mg now to see if it helps my blood pressure and make my heartbeat normal."

"I have been on bisoprolol for almost 2 weeks, and I have done well. I love the 1 pill of 5 mg a day. I was on carvedilol but dreaded the evening dose. This has worked out well so far."

"At first, I was thrilled with the pills: they calmed the pulse, reduced fatigue, and I felt great. However, after two years of use, I realized that I was gaining weight, that I did not have the will to train, that I was actually getting tired very quickly without my heart rate exceeding 60 beats. I gradually stopped taking the pills and only then realized how sleepy and slow I was. I do not recommend this medicine to anyone, there may be better ones."
