"I usually use Saline wound wash for cleansing affected areas but accidentally grabbed a canister off the shelf that looked just like it and in the same row as the saline wound wash. I generally saturate gauze pads with the product, cover the affected area and tape it on with paper tape. After some time I felt uncomfortable warmth in the area and removed the gauze pads. There was a distinctive bright red area where the gauze pads had been that was swollen, blistered, painful and irritated. I then realized I had picked a different product and was having an allergic reaction. The takeaway is that this product is intended to be used differently than Saline wound wash. Not intended to put on gauze pads taped to your skin. Rather wiped on affected skin and dried to form a protective barrier. Painful lesson learned."
