Olumiant (baricitinib) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have rheumatoid arthritis and had been prescribed methotrexate for several years. The effects of arthritis continued until the pain, joint stiffness were becoming so bad that getting out of bed and dressed in the morning would take over an hour. About 2 years ago, my rheumatologist suggested that I take Olumiant, and I was given a 4 mg daily dose. Within one month, the pain and joint problems had almost completely gone, and I could live a normal life. I still have some pain and stiffness, but they are totally manageable. Had no side effects that I am aware of."

Olumiant (baricitinib) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "Took effect very quickly. I previously had both knee joints and a wrist joint replaced; the RA was causing more and more problems and pain. I had been receiving methotrexate injections and tablets for about 8 years, but they seemed to be starting to have no effect. My rheumatologist suggested Olumiant, and I started taking 4 mg per day in 2020, and my weekly methotrexate dosage was reduced from 20 mg to 10 mg. I noticed a reduction in pain and stiffness within a week; after about two weeks, the relief was remarkable. Up to now, I have very little pain in my joints and no swollen hands. Last week, I had to stop taking Olumiant as I am scheduled for surgery next month, and I am very concerned about how this will react on me."

Olumiant (baricitinib) for Alopecia "I was diagnosed with alopecia areata around 37 years old. I'm 46 now. I lost almost all of my long, beautiful, thick, curly hair over about 2 years, one bald spot at a time but constantly. I started Olumiant on 8/14/23 and the results are amazing. It's a MIRACLE. Thank you to the creators. I wish you all the success and glory in the world for creating my cure."

Olumiant (baricitinib) for Alopecia "I had Alopecia Totalis, so I started using Olumiant on November 1, 2022, at a dosage of 4 mg daily. Within one year, 90% of my hair had regrown. I plan to continue this dosage until November 1, 2024, and then, in consultation with my dermatologist, we will explore the possibility of lowering the dose. Regarding side effects, the only things I can mention are a slight increase in cholesterol levels and weight gain. However, Olumiant is definitely a lifesaver. If one meets the criteria to initiate this drug, they must take it into consideration."

Olumiant (baricitinib) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have a great experience with Olumiant tablets. I have been using them for 2 years to treat RA. I take one tablet a day in combination with Medrol 2 mg. After a few days of taking that RA medicine, the RA pain stopped, as did the stiffness. I am not accompanied by fatigue as with previous biological therapy, which I used, for example, Enbrel or Mabthera. After 2 weeks of taking the medicine, I got herpes zoster, but in a milder form. For now, the only problem is quite frequent inflammation of the gums. I have RA for the last 20 years."

Olumiant (baricitinib) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I've been taking Olumiant since December 2020. It's worked fairly well with the daily pain (but hard to know for sure since I am currently weaning off long-term prednisone usage.) What I can tell you for sure is that it has reduced the swelling in my hands to the point that I can actually see some of my knuckles for the first time in years! Downside, it doubled my cholesterol levels, and I will now have to take medicine for that."

Olumiant (baricitinib) for COVID-19 "Olumiant is given at hospitals for covid. Do not take this drug. It has 5 black box warnings. It can cause death in several ways including cardiac arrest, cancer, stroke, blood clots, etc. Research it yourself. They will give it to a patient and when they die, they will just call it a covid death and collect their money."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I could not do my work without this medication due to my arthritis. Tried all the rest and they made me poorly or had terrible side effects. After two years on baracitinib I am back practicing dentistry and the pain and swelling is controlled. I did stop my dosage for two weeks just to satisfy myself that they were working."

Olumiant (baricitinib) for Alopecia "I've been taking Olumiant for 18 months. Great results. However, my white cells count continues to decrease. Neutropenia scares me. There's so little clinical data available on the effects of stopping the drug. I could lose my new hair growth at the base of my hairline or, Even worse, I could lose hair elsewhere - like right off the top of my head! Good grief."

Olumiant (baricitinib) for Alopecia "Using Olumiant for 1 1/2 years has done wonders. Hair grew back on my head and face. I have had alopecia universalis for at least 14 years. My thyroid even started rejuvenating itself. I have been taking less thyroid, and I have been on thyroid medicine for almost 40 years."

Olumiant (baricitinib) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "The drug has helped me, and I have not had any more attacks from arthritis, but when I was missing a few weeks, the attacks came back. Most of the time, I have a problem walking, but with the drug, I find I am doing well. If I do not take the drug, I find my knees go very stiff and I am in a lot of pain."

Olumiant (baricitinib) for Alopecia "So far, some progress. 2mg for about a year and increasing to 3mg. Cautious of other issues that could occur with medication as it seems when I'm on 4mg I have some issues."

Olumiant (baricitinib) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I was diagnosed with RA in 2012. Methotrexate was the first drug prescribed and I took it for about 7-8 years with no results, but I sure lost lots of hair. During those years, I was in a study and received Remicade infusions. The side effects were horrible - chills, fever, exhaustion - for several days, but it didn't really help with the RA until the infusions became so unbearable that I stopped them. I changed my RA doctor and in a study, I was given Olumiant. For two years, this medication made my life normal and pain-free, but after that time, I noticed it was not working as before and I asked my doctor to stop it. It was sad because this drug made me feel great. Perhaps I should have waited for it to work again, or maybe I'll go back on it at a later time. All I can say is that RA is a horrible disease. God bless those who have it."
