For Muscle Spasm "I was taken off Soma and put on Baclofen to help with extremely painful muscle spasms that I've been told are related to my fibromyalgia. I was extremely surprised and grateful to find out that this medication, while not preventing the spasms, does stop them dead in their tracks when taken as soon as they start. I've had no noticeable side effects. A real Godsend for me."

For Muscle Spasm "I have suffered with back pain and muscle spasms for almost ten years. Sleeping through the night only happened in my dreams. Travel was limited by the necessity to stop frequently, get out and walk/stretch. A 200-mile trip could take 6 hours. Hotel beds were excruciating. After three weeks of routine dosing, my dreams are now a reality. Sleeping through the night, driving for extended periods, and staying away from home overnight have given me my life back. One word of caution, with your doctor's guidance, start with a small dose and be patient as the dose is increased. Beginning large may cause extreme sleepiness. Yep, the voice of experience. Fell asleep in mid-sentence!"

For Chronic Spasticity "I have been taking baclofen for years. I changed to this medication from Soma. It has worked well ever since. I was taking 20 mg/3x a day. I have since gone down to 10mg/3x a day. Just like any other medication, I had to become adjusted to it. Afterwards, I've had no issues."

For Spinal Spasticity "This medication, Lioresal, has been a lifesaver for me and my fibromyalgia and DDD. I have had a great experience with the medication, with only one slight side effect: it makes me a bit sleepy. Small price to pay for the fabulous benefits."

For Spinal Spasticity "It literally saved me from neck surgery. I have a disc protrusion that bulges into my spinal cord. I’ve started taking this drug, and the bulge became smaller due to muscle relaxation. I can feel my fingers and have enough power in my arms again. One important thing is the withdrawal process. It takes several months to go down. Otherwise, I get spasms."

For Migraine Prevention "I have been taking it for 90 days. The medication seems to have leveled off the severity and frequency of my migraines. I take several medications, and along with this medication, it seems to be really effective. The side effects are a lot better than taking opiates or anything that makes you dizzy and ineffective. I take Topiramate, Bupropion, Amitriptyline, and Gabapentin. When a headache hits, I take a Sumatriptan and let it dissolve in my mouth."

For Neuralgia "I have been taking Lioresal (baclofen) 10 mg 3 times per day for 3 days now. The side effects are immense! After 20 minutes, I lose all sense of balance, get a major headache, and need to urinate frequently (which is difficult when lack of balance screws up walking ability!) It knocks me out for hours. Side effects last approximately 6 hours. I have cut down to twice a day now because I can't handle the side effects. The only positive is the pain eases (I have intercostal neuralgia), but not 100% pain relief-maybe 70%. I plan to visit the doctor and get off it as soon as possible."

For Muscle Spasm "Loss of leg with riding lawn mower. Still have side effects! The leg I still have jerks, and I still feel the pain of the lawn mower going over my leg. Not at all times, but when they do, I can't get the pain or the spasms to let up!"

For Alcohol Withdrawal "At 125 mg, greatly helped reduce the craving but had to lower the dose due to side effects such as sleep apnea and extreme tiredness. Currently at 60 mg. In conclusion, it helped me a lot, but I had severe side effects."

For Neuralgia "I started taking this medication 5 days ago. It's 12:48 AM, I've been up now for an hour, sick to my stomach. I'm having a hard time when I try to lie down, my throat feels like it's swelling, unable to sleep. I actually woke up throwing up. Plus, I'm still having a terrible muscle spasm in my right lower back."

For Neuralgia "I had pains in my legs after knee surgery, and I took this medicine: only one pill 4 times in two days, and I have never been so sick in my entire life! I was so sick to my stomach that even water made me even more sick. Whatever I ate or drank would come back up about an hour later. I could barely stand up straight, I was shaking, I had fever and chills, etc. It was horrible! I stopped taking it as soon as this started, and then it took another two days to actually completely get out of my system!"
