For Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis "I was prescribed this medication for a serious case of Strep Throat, and although it's working to relieve Strep... it's giving me some crazy side effects. The diarrhea is absolutely annoying, and since I started taking this med, I've felt pain in the left side of my chest near my armpit. I wouldn't recommend this medication. Just take Amoxicillin or Penicillin if you're not allergic to it."

For Chlamydia Infection "I received the medication this morning in 2 x 500mg tablets after a call in from the doctor, even with protection I caught chlamydia recently! Absolutely no pain or discomfort except pure bloating. Had a pub lunch and beer for lunch with no issues... 8 hrs after taking I'm now consuming a glass of wine as heading out for a birthday, bloating a lot worse and it has gone straight to my head but no dramas as yet... will try and keep of the shots tonight though!"

For Chlamydia Infection "I'm 17 and live in Australia at first I thought I just had a UTI but boy was I wrong, a urine test, tested positive for chlamydia, telling my boyfriend was the worst of it and now he thinks I cheated on him... (and didn't and never would) but I've only been sexual active with 3 other guys and I've ALWAYS used protection with them and the reason me and my current bf didn't use protection was because we didn't have any (dumb I know) but now I'm suffering so much pain in my stomach and I can hardly move and I'm terrified to tell my mum about it! God this better work"

For Mycobacterium avium-intracellulare, Treatment "I have been taking azithromycin for 3 weeks and take it 3 times per week. My doctor recommended that I take it with yogurt. The yogurt helps coats my stomach to keep it from getting upset. So far, it has worked. I also make sure that I drink lots of water when taking this medication and rinse my mouth well. Hopefully, rinsing will keep me from getting mouth sores."

For Chlamydia Infection "Went to our local free clinic for routine testing no diagnosis of yet but they treated me for Gonorrhea and chlamydia the worst side affects ever from 430 till 830 non stop stomach cramps diarrhea this medication is horrible. Safe sex would have stopped me getting into this situation - wrap it up and be safe"

For Bronchitis "I was prescribed Zithromax 250 mg. Tablets for bronchitis. I’ve taken it for many years as I regularly seem to get sick every Fall. Never had reactions either. The generic version I was given was from Lupin mfg. co. After my first day dosage, I had indigestion about 2 hours later. The next day, after taking the pill, I developed burning eyes and nose! Also sores inside my mouth. Diarrhea and lots of gas also. I took myself off of the pills and will call my doctor.."

For Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "I took 1 pill and about 6 hours later, I was getting out of my car and woke up on the sidewalk. I had passed out with no warning signs or symptoms. I passed out again within 2 minutes of the first time. I went to the local Urgent Care and after speaking to the doctor, he believes it was a side effect of the zpak. That is the only change in any food, drink or medication for weeks. I was not overheated and I was hydrated prior to passing out."

For Pharyngitis "Taking Zithromax (Azithromycin) Teva 250Mg 6 Day Pack. Gave me diarrhea even with food. Made me feel odd and uncomfortable for some reason. Also noticed that it had marked day 4 on the back of the pack on my last tablet. Don’t know if I had to take it in order or not but did notice it said day 4. Other than that I guess it kind of work feel a little better nothing really noticeable."

For Pharyngitis "I began taking Zithromax today for Pharyngitis, however, it made me feel sweated and nauseous for 45 minutes. I felt like that I want to lay down in the living room not in the kitchen, because I was nauseous and unwilling to relax myself instead. Yet, I got mucus. I was able to stay awake and focused at the all time anyway. At the end, nausea disappear and my stomach became empty and was more willing to stay seated."

For Bronchitis "Brand name works better than the generic version so despite what anyone may say pushing the cheap generic you get what you pay for. In most cases if you have trouble with insurance you can call them to get them approve the brand name."

For Sinusitis "After trying other antibiotics. This was the only one that worked. The Doctor tried to tell me it would not work for Sinusitis. It is the only antibiotic that takes it away for me."

For Sinusitis "After I take the first dose (2 pills) within 8 to 10 hours I feel 50% better. It usually does not take more then 4 days to be well. This is a great medication for sinusitis."

For Chlamydia Infection "Diarrhea after 3 hours of taking it. Bad nausea for quite awhile along with general feeling of being run down. It was hard to eat. I did keep it down. It was 1000mg."
