For Muscle Pain "For many years, wake up 2-3 hours after going to bed with really bad back pain. Had tried chiropractors, massage, yoga and stretches, inversion table, Mersyndol Forte, and NSAIDs. Not sure what is causing the pain, I suspect ankylosing spondylitis. Since taking Norgesic, I can sleep 6-8 hours continuously. Very little side effects. Not sure yet if this is going to be an ongoing thing, but at least I am getting sleep like I haven't experienced in some 20 years or more."

For Muscle Spasm "I tried Norgesic for 2 weeks, 3 times a day. It was for a bad muscle spasm in my back, it was hard to breathe. I swear Norgesic is a placebo. It did nothing at all for me... Nothing. Worked as paracetamol at best, dose no better, in my opinion. Told the doctor of my opinion and was given Valium (diazepam) 5 mg. That worked amazingly. I felt it working the whole time. With the Valium, it took me 2 weeks to recover. I'm EXTREMELY surprised to see so many people say Norgesic worked for them, but glad it did. I don't usually give feedback, however I truly don't think this compound works."

For Muscle Pain "86. I just started experiencing osteoarthritis pain (moderate but worsening). My doctor put me on Norgesic one in the morning and 2 in the evening daily, but I found it affected me a bit by being a bit dopey (normal) and getting out of bed same. I cut it down to one evening and half in the morning daily and found that this worked a treat. Pain reduced, slept like a log and less dopiness during the day. I also have a feeling of well-being."

For Muscle Spasm "I have found it brilliant. Nothing else works as good. I have been unable to move, and within 20 minutes, I could get myself into bed. Over the next two days, taking four tablets a day, the pain subsided. OxyContin and Tramadol did nothing. What is good for someone isn’t good for another."

For Muscle Pain "I started taking this medicine when I was 36 years of age for about 3 years but really did not notice any side effects. Then I stopped for 28 years and now starting to get back this problem, so I am back to try it again. I read most of the comments about the side effects, but after all, there is no medicine without side effects at some level. Also, I think this goes with age and lifestyle. I don't take any medicine at all, I always go for herbs over tablets normally. I am starting now with only 2 tablets a day and going to see the results, and if it needs, I am going to increase the dosage."

For Muscle Spasm "I got a 1st degree muscle strain 10 days ago. My doctor advised me to take Norgesic and ibuprofen at the same time. I'm now feeling way better. Personally, Norgesic works miracles! No side effects plus I enjoy a nonstop 8-hour sleep, which helps a lot during the healing process. The only thing I must do is make sure I have a full stomach."

"I have been suffering chronic lower back pain for over 6 months. Debilitating pain and quality of life affected. Finally given Norgesic to try and had some relief. I'm taking it as I under physiologist assistance and I'm now down to 1 per day. Thank goodness for this drug. No side effects for me."

For Muscle Pain "Others said this again, but I am going to repeat: lifted some weights the wrong way (squats), got lower back pain. A bit of Norgesic later, and now I am good as new! Just be careful, guys, if pain persists beyond lower back and is also on your legs, be sure to visit a physician."

For Muscle Pain "GP prescribed this to reduce muscle pain/spasms in the back. While it did aid sleep and reduced spasms, the raging headache, hot/cold sweats, vomiting, and unable to focus my eyes will ensure I take no more. The negatives outweigh the benefits."

For Muscle Pain "Absolutely useless to relieve this acute middle back pain that's been crippling me for 4 days. Codeine or Oxycodone is 100% better. Not only that, but I had to pay full price as opposed to PBS. Useless, will never again."

"I've taken this for 18 months to treat incessant spasms of pain in my thoracic spine and scapula. These, in turn, limit the use of my arms and hands. I am not aware of having had any side effects from the three tablets I take individually over the day. They definitely reduce the number and intensity of the back spasms - not always entirely, but certainly enough for me to consider that it creates functionality. I also take Temgesic (an artificial opioid) to deal with intense pain, which Norgesic cannot and does not control, but thanks to the Norgesic, I am able to limit the use of the Temgesic such that I only take it when absolutely needed - and far less than when these were prescribed in tandem by my pain management specialist. I was briefly prescribed Valium, but it had no evident benefit, and I and my GP were concerned about the potential addiction. I rate Norgesic very highly, and I would battle to manage my daily activities without it."

For Muscle Spasm "Norgesic was prescribed to me a few times when I had to get medication acutely when I was out of town, etc. where they don't give you the 'real medications.' As one would expect, it's an OTC relaxant comparable to paracetamol in pain killers. It won't do much at all if you are used to the hard stuff. But no abuse value, hardly any side effects. It'd be okay for mild cases."

For Muscle Spasm "Not nearly as 'masking' as Lortab or Vicodin, but measurably close. It's definitely noticeable that caffeine exists among the ingredients, too. I've felt fairly pain-free since taking this medicine."

For Muscle Pain "Although I rarely suffer back pain, I lifted something incorrectly. The pain in the lower back was instant, and all the muscles in that area became inflamed. Any movement was unbearable. The doctor examined me and determined the problem and prescribed this medication and told me to rest. I took a dose of two Norgesic straight away and went to bed, sleeping for most of the day (they have a sedative effect on me). The next day, I was able to get out of bed by myself. I continued taking as prescribed the following day, and by day 3, the pain was completely gone, muscles relaxed, no longer inflamed, so I ceased medication. For me, these meds performed a miracle."
