Midamor (amiloride) for High Blood Pressure "I developed a low electrolyte problem, sodium went down to 119, and I spent 2 days in the hospital. Chloride was 89, even potassium was low at one time."

For High Blood Pressure "I have Liddle syndrome (genetic hypertension), and amiloride is the only medication that works to control my BP."

For Edema "At 20 mg daily with furosemide 80 mg, KCl 10 mEq, not much effect on edema or potassium levels."

For Ascites "This is a good med, you just need your doctor to prescribe potassium."
