Piqray (alpelisib) "MBC to bone, spine. Taking Ibrance for 6 years. Piqray has side effects like every cancer medication. Doctor was very adamant in letting them know if side effects became worse, so they could change dosage. Worst side effect would be to have my cancer grow. So, I deal with diarrhea, sores in mouth, diabetes, fatigue. Let your oncologist know, so they could help with the medications. It’s the only way to prevent cancer."

Piqray (alpelisib) "I have metastatic stage IV breast cancer, and Piqray left me with 24-hour nausea; a nausea that was so severe I lost 30 lb and could not eat or drink. I was so ill that I actually wanted to die, and it was when my refills were delayed that I found myself feeling better and better with minimal nausea. I did take one dose when my Rx came, and I was back to 24-hour nausea. I then made the decision to stop the Piqray then and have not looked back. Piqray was making me worse than my cancer."

Piqray (alpelisib) "I’ve been taking Piqray for four years. My original daily dose was 300 mg and then reduced to 250 mg because it caused me to become diabetic and have problems maintaining a proper A1c. (I’m on three diabetes drugs now.) Other side effects have mostly been quite tolerable and not as bad as I expected. Nausea doesn’t occur much anymore. Diarrhea has been more of a problem and flares occasionally. I’m tired most of the time and my energy level has decreased and never seems what it was before. My tastes have been affected, and there are days I have no appetite. My concentration has changed, and I have a “foggy” brain at times. Piqray is easy to take and has become a part of my life. My regular PET scans show I’m still in remission. I walk two miles four to five days each week, and I keep grandkids 16-24 hours each week. Piqray, in spite of the above side effects, is allowing me to have a decent quality of life!"

Piqray (alpelisib) "On 300mg for 10 months. Only noticeable side effects are dry hands and feet and hair thinning. Multiple metastatic lesions (brain, spine, liver, omentum) have shrunk on Piqray. CA15-3 has gone from 3,200 to 340 while on this drug."
