Pyrroxate (acetaminophen / chlorpheniramine / phenylephrine) "I was first introduced to Pyrroxate while employed by Ford Motor Company in the 1960s. Working outside in poor weather conditions occasionally led to sinus congestion and head colds, requiring a 'stay at home' period to recover with difficulty sleeping and breathing, along with increased temperature. The clinic at Ford provided a long string of Pyrroxate pills that provided relief from the symptoms, and within a day or two, total relief of the head and sinus running, allowing me to continue working without any side effects. For years, I was able to order this medication from pharmacies and off the shelf from Walmart Pharmacy. I bought several bottles of Pyrroxate and gave them to my daughters with positive results, and they purchased them for their own families after marriage. I haven't been able to find this product in the last 15 years, unfortunately, and have never found a replacement that works as well."
