I’ve read that Doxepin cannot to be taken within 3 hours after a meal, so that means that if I take it at 11 pm (for sleep), I have to be finished eating dinner by 8 pm. If you take Doxepin, do you follow this? Does it work just as well if taken shortly after a meal? I’ve also read that it makes you more groggy the next day if not taken on an empty stomach, has anyone experienced this?
Can you take Doxepin shortly after a meal?

Hello. :) I take 75 mgs of doxepin. My pharmacy said I did not need to do the 3 hour wait from food. Just to be sure to take it at the same time each night. I have not had drowsiness the next day. Hope that this helps.
