I took amox 875 for a sinus infection and got a really bad yeast infection. Over the counter monistat wasn't working so I went to my gyno they tested me and only had a yeast infection. She prescribed me diflucan 150 mg for 4 doses every 3 days. The medicine worked and made it pretty much clear up. I just took the last pill Friday and there is a little but of itching but not as bad as it was and I don't know if it's not going to go away and what should I do. Should I call them back for some more
Can you just constantly have an itch after yeast infection?

My doctor just gave me 1 pill took it yesterday morning and started the itch at night still have it right know anywho this question was years ago I'm hoping for relief soon why was so my pills given too you?
Diflucan can still be working several days after the dose is taken so it still may clear up. give it time. If you are not better in a week, call your doctor back then.
You can still have the irritation after the yeast has been gotten rid of. This is most likely what the itching is from. After a few more days if its still itching, then call and see what she'd suggest.
