I am talking about a few drinks not just one. Will it effect me any different than if i was'nt on buspar?

Buspar (buspirone) is used to treat certain anxiety disorders or to relieve the symptoms of anxiety.
Alcohol may potentiate some of the side-effects of Buspar including impairment of judgment, thinking, mental alertness, motor co-ordination etc.
You should avoid activities requiring mental alertness such as driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medication affects you.

I stopped taking BUSPIRONE -because of its side effects.
BUSPIRONE messes with your brain.
Alcohol messes with your brain.
Since no two people react to both identically, the outcome cannot always be predicted. In view of the uncertainty of drinking and taking BUSPIRONE it is best to leave one of them off. These two chemicals do not mix well.

I’m speaking from experience here, and it’s okay to drink on Buspar. Just an important note, if you actually have anxiety, you’re going to have a pretty serious day of anxiety (just a hangover) and the resulting hangover can last 24 hours or more. Also, you’re going to get drunk much faster due to the side effects of buspar, along with alcohol accelerating the absorbing of buspar into your blood. Overall, it’s alright and you’re not going to die, but for a while afterwards, you’re going to feel really stupid for drinking while on buspar, and your anxiety is going to seriously spike the day after, but it levels out and goes back to normal, so don’t worry.
