It is not recommended to consume expired medication as the efficacy, effectiveness is lost after a certain period of time, all meds manufactured do have a 'shelf-life' - in simple words do expire, however it would be best to check it with your pharmacist. The efficacy of the med declines when the expiry date is nearing, this has been proven by laboratory tests. Hope this helps?
I looked up the shelf life, and pasted the nswer
I agree with bucky 1 also if it is tablet form it lasts for 2 years i have known some people to go past that and the medication is still fine. For every medication though(tablet) it is usually suppose to be disposed of after 2 years.
What I found was
As a dry powder it is stable for at least 5
years.
