i have hypoparathyroidism and i can't afford the calcitriol and when i was reading i saw that it was the same as vitamin d 3 .
What is the equal amount in vitamin d 3 in i.u. to calcitriol 0.50 mcg?

WoW, I too have hypoparathyroidism. I lost 2 out of 4 para thyroids in OP.
I find this meds very expensive too, and I hadn't thought that I could supplement it before, as Dr's make such a fuss to get prescription. I also have to take Calcium and Vit d as well so I will ask my Dr and find out if you can find a cheaper alternative, that is going to supply such strong doses. Thanks for thought.
I do not have an answer, but, may I ask you - how did you find out you have hypoparathyroidism?? thank you rodkzy
