Diclofenac sodium is used to relieve pain, swelling (inflammation), and joint stiffness caused by arthritis. Reducing these symptoms helps you do more of your normal daily activities. This medication is known as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
Diclofenac diethylammonium, which is a type of medicine called a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). NSAIDs are used to relieve pain and inflammation.
Take care.
Thanks for your reply, they seem to be almost the same, is one a prescription strength and the other not? Is one better than the other?
I have two tubes of Voltaren one just says "Gel" (that's the sodium) and the other "Emulgel".
Thanks again for your help.
