Dexilant (dexlansoprazole) suppresses gastric acid secretion via inhibition of the proton pump in the gastric parietal cell, which blocks the final step of acid production.
Lansoprazole belongs to the same class of drug as dexlansoprazole. In fact lansoprazole and dexlansoprazole are enantiomers and have the same effect on the proton pump in the stomach.
So you could easily switch from [-{{Dexilant}}-] to lansoprazole. However, different people may find that one works better than the other for them.
