Hello. Although the previous answer in correct there's one major difference that wasn't addressed is the fact that the main difference is that the generic medication has different fillers which can and often do effect the way the body's system disperses the active ingredient. Most people don't realize any substantial difference between name brand and generic but other people, like me, who are more sensitive to the medicine will feel the difference in the way that the main ingredient is dispersed within the body's system.

One main difference is the price, generics cost a lot less than brand name medications.
