I take Wellbutrin already but really need and want to try contrave?

I am like the person above I taking wellbutrin twice a day have been for several years and it works great for me I am always aware of what my meds do for fI f me and what happens when I don't have them at the ready. That being said I would like to try contrave also but don't know if would be a candidate for the drug.

wonderful! Let us know about your progress. I have heard of people who take both because the dosage in Contrave is fairly low.

There is wellbutrin in the contrave so I would worry about you getting too much wellbutrin. Talk to your dr about the dose and what to do. Your pharmacist should have questioned that script if you're already on wellbutrin.

I was on Wellbutrin for years, 200mg in the AM and 200mg in PM per day. Contrave has 90mg bupropion/Wellbutrin in each tablet. While starting Contrave I am weining off of the wellbutrin. First week 1 Contrave and 100mg wellbutrin in the AM and PM 1 200mg wellbutrin. 2nd week 1 Contrave and 100mg wellbutrin AM and PM. 3RD WEEK 2 Contrave in AM and 1 contrave and 1 100mg wellbutrin in PM. Fourth week will be 2 Contrave in AM and PM.
I am 1 1/2 weeks out. I have only lost 0.2 pounds. Not much weight but my appetite and cravings have significantly decreased.
Not having any noticeable side effects except some constipation. OTC meds help for that.
