Wegovy - I was suppose to start my injections today. I am so nervous to give myself the injection.

I am on my second week of Wegovy and I was scared too! It feels just like when they prick your finger for blood sugar test. It hurts for a second, and then it’s done. No big deal. Honestly, it hurts me way more that none of my clothes fit anymore and my legs and feet hurt super bad when I get up in the morning! It is so going to be worth it. So far no bad side effects, and am less hungry. I wish it helped with energy but maybe it will when I get to a higher dose. I did just start. It does t hurt like when they put ice in or give a big needle shot. And you can’t see the needle it’s a flush surface and you just press down.

It won’t hurt , the more fat- or fatty the area of the injecting site the better , also it helps to breath and relax , try not to tense up . It’s no where near as painful as you assume it will be . I promise . I was worried as well about giving myself first injection .

I’m sorry that I didn’t see your question earlier. I realize I may be late in answering it, the injection doesn’t hurt at all. That is if you don’t get radically tense, I guess. I mean I would think that would be the only way it would. I would suggest to take it slow, especially if your using a injection pen. So that the medication doesn’t come right back out after you inject it. I do my injections in my stomach because I feel I have better control. I am able to clean the area with alcohol & let it dry completely. Then I hold the area that I’m injecting taut with two fingers and inject between them & afterwards once my pen has clicked I hold the pen completely still while I count one-one thousand for thirty seconds.
