Started on 30 mg of Vyvanse 5 days ago, because Adderall caused anxiety and "zombie effect" at the same time. Vyvanse seems a lot better, but makes me VERY tired&unmotivated after 3-4 hrs. Is the dose too low or too high?

Hello, I'm guessing your Dr is starting you off very low because of your reaction to adderall experience I have had the same experience with adderall I couldn't breathe... vyvance is the only add med that works and doesnt give me anxiety it's also adderall based so dr will probably increase your dose next visit... also it's time released so you will in fact feel more tired around the 4.hr mark its in your system 6hrs out completely in 12.
Hope this helped you...
Take care!
Vyvanse is a 'pro-drug' entering the body in its non active form, then is converted to its active form through the metabolic process. From reading I don't think time-release comes into it. But if what you are saying is Vyvanse fizzles out for you, or anyone much earlier than the manufacturer claims, the FDA needs - and wants - to know about it. You can go to http://www.fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/HowToReport/ucm053074.htm to file a report.
Hello MuseMyself. With time release drugs.. that isn't at all how they're supposed to work. They are designed to deliver a steady-state dose of the drug for the duration - when they're doing the job properly, re; the particular drug. I know it's a moot point with Vyvanse, but worth mentioning perhaps.
