I started taking mine at night, but just switched to morning because it gives me restless legs and makes me feel wide awake... was having a terrible time trying to sleep, even with upping my dose of clonidine.
Hi, jenn! My doctor told me that Vraylar has a slight tendency to elevate heart rate and blood pressure which can mimic anxiety and restlessness. He has me taking it only at night and I've had no problems or side effects at all.
Best wishes to you. So far I love this stuff and it's about the last medication left that I can try.
Hi Jenn; Here is some information on how to take the Vraylar, It really doe's not make any difference if you take it at night or in the morning but when you make up your mind always take it about the same time. And remember the first few weeks you do have some side effects but they well go away.
and also when the dose is adjusted expect some changes in side effects until they get you to the dose you well remain on. Hope that helps. Also don't think it in your mind but this medication can make you more sensitive to heat and changes in weather so make sure you drink water like you should on a hot day etc. here is more info. from our web site for the patient.(((How should I take Vraylar?
Take Vraylar exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Follow all directions on your prescription label. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose to make sure you get the best results. Do not use this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
You may take Vraylar with or without food.
It may take several weeks before your symptoms improve. Keep using Vraylar as directed and tell your doctor if your symptoms do not improve.
Tell your doctor if you have any changes in weight while taking Vraylar.
Your blood pressure and heart rate will need to be checked often. You may also need frequent blood tests.
Store Vraylar at room temperature away from moisture, heat, and light. hope your feeling better.
