Can Viagra, used over several years use, have anything to do with an aortic aneurysm? A family member recently had a rupture in his hip and stomach. It seems strange that he would have a rupture in two places at about the same time unless there were a catalyst. The only other known medication he was taking was Excedrin.

Aneurysms develop slowly over many years and often have no symptoms. If an aneurysm expands rapidly, tears open (ruptured aneurysm), symptoms may develop suddenly and include low blood pressure, high heart rate, and lightheadedness. The risk of death after a rupture is high.
I could not find any information to imply that Viagra could contribute to the cause of rupture.
