What about just foreplay until you can see a doc. Had anyone been tested for std's recently, not accusing just a question?

I can appreciate and understand how uncomfortable intercourse can be for "both" parties. Perhaps using an additional lubricant (like KY Jelly) can help you both. With vaginal dryness comes that friction and irritation you describe. It isn't permanent and it isn't lethal. My bet is your wife is still experiencing discomfort as well. Where there is a will... there is way. Be open with your wife and talk about your issues... talk with her prescribing doctor as well to see if other options are available to prevent your discomfort.

I hope you are not having sex right in the hours following insertion of the tab? I for one wouldn't do that thinking of my own tissue balance and the absorption of the medication, besides my husband coming into contact with estrogen that would be absorbed into his tissue. Remember as we all state here, there is still friction, so skin may break too.
Always, be patient, have foreplay, and never act as if it must always end with intercourse.
