Blood sugar is supposed to be test regularly when on Rexulti. Does anyone have blood tests taken? This drug warns of increased blood sugar. I almost died few months after taking this. I was in ICU for 6 days with DKA, severe diabetic keto acidosis.
I now have type 2 diabetes. Rexulti is known to increase blood sugar. Has this happened to anyone?

I am truly sorry for what you went through, thank God you are still here with us.
I have taken two antipsychotics (Seroquel and Zyprexa) for over 20 years. I am 52 and randomly a couple of weeks ago I had blood work done and the blood sugar came back pretty high.
I went to a diabetologist and I am now pre-diabetic.
Thank you for your regards. I am glad that you found out that you are pre-diabetic. Not the best news, I know. It sounds like you’ve seen a specialist and you can get your blood sugar down PLMK if you have any questions about ideas of what would be good/bad for you to eat or how much. It is horrible that drugs do this to us. I was on Seroquel about 15 years ago and had to get off it because I gained so much weight. But that drug really works! Thank you for sharing!
Anytime!
Sadly, all of the antipsychotics (even the "new ones") have this risk profile. I'm so sorry this happened to you. I strongly urge people to never go on one of these drugs unless absolutely necessary. Even with blood tests it might not have been 100% preventable, unfortunately.
