For your purposes, 325 mg of ferrous sulfate is the same as 65 mg of elemental iron. You need to take 1 tablet of 65 mg elemental iron.
They are equivalent. This has been something that confuses people and I don't know why they don't make it standard. Older docs keep ordering the 325 when its the same.
Does that mean that you would take 5 of the 65 mg elemental iron in place of the 325 mg of ferrous sulfate?
