I was given 500mg cephalexin tabs for dog bite. Can I give them to my dog as he was bitten also?

My dog and I were attacked by another dog and I cannot afford a vet bill, so I went to the ER and was prescribed cephalexin 500mg tablets. Can I give them to my dog as well because his neck where he was bitten has swollen up just like my hands did?
