Any experiences of mirtazapine (Remeron) with SSRI/SNRI for depression, anxiety and poor sleep?

What are your experiences with this combo, especially if you’ve tried them separately and then together? What does this combo do for you vs each of these meds separately?

I am experiencing shortness of breath and extreme fatigue now that I lowered my mirtazapine dose from 15mg to 7.5mg? Is this common? Will this subside?

My 90 year old mom is staying with me and will miss one night dose of remeron before she goes home. Will this effect her abilty to sleep that night? Or any other side effects?
