Microgestin Fe 1/20 - Breakthrough bleeding or period, with cramps, while taking active Microgestin?

I am on Day 4 of my placebo pills but I have only had light brown discharge. Why is this happening?

I have taken my pill at the exact same time everyday this pill pack. Last month, I missed one pill but took two the following day and had breakthrough bleeding a week early/before my actual placebo week. So technically my last "period" began on June 16.

Taking 4mg Dilaudid. Can I use 10 or 15mg for breakthrough pain?

4mg Dilaudid every 4 hours and have severe breakthrough pain occasionally. I switched to 4mg Dilaudid after 15mg oxycodone lost its effect. What breakthrough meds can I take with this patch?

I have been on this patch now for 5 days and feel no pain relief whatsoever. I called my doctor he said give it at least a week and then we could probably increase the dose. My question is what breakthrough medications can I take safely with this while waiting for it to work? Thank you very much.
