This is the only way to get our dog to take it.
Is sucralfate still effective when taken as a slurry with a teaspoon of food?

Ours come as capsules we have to crush, we have to make the slurry and I know it's supposed to be on an empty stomach, so I want to make sure it's still effective with a teeny bit of food (canned).

Answers
Yes it actually comes in a slurry
No. Do not mix Sucralfate with canned dog food. It works by binding with protein (so no broth etc). You can get a veterinary compounding pharmacy to mix it in a non-protein flavored base or you can try it in a bit of applesauce for example.
