Which is stronger hydrocodone or butrans(buprenorphine transdermal)patch?

I am taking hydrocodone 10/325 for spinal stenosis. Would the Butrans patches be as effective and relieve the pain like the hydrocodone is doing?

They are two different types of narcotic. Butrans is a time released medication meant to relieve pain on a long term basis. Hydrocodone is an immediate release medication. Both offer pain release just in a different way. Your dr can probably best help you with which is best for your particular type of pain.
