I can't seem to find a clear answer anywhrere about this.
my wife was prescribed this due to high testosterone levels. there was a hiccup in our insurance, and we're unable to get more at this time. she's been off it for about a couple weeks and is saying she's experiencing random waves of intense depression (she does have a history of depression but says this is different).
Does anyone know if her feeling this way, may be connected to her having stopped taking the meds abruptly?

I was on this med for blood pressure and edema. I was forced to stop abruptly but, I was in the hospital as I suffered from rebounding symptoms from stopping the drug. I couldn’t take it because, it affected my kidneys and made my potassium dangerously drop. I do know however, you can get the medication very affordable without insurance between four and seven dollars. Also, you can find on this site just type In the medication in the search and scroll down to where it says drug prices on the left hand side towards the bottom where you may find the cheapest pharmacy to purchase the medication as well as call The manufacture of the medication for drug assistance. This site recommends good RX as a discounted option to help pay for medication. They are many options available hopefully, maybe having a chat with her doctor and the pharmacy can help figure out... you can call the manufacturer of brand name Aldactone for assistance or call around to available pharmacies that may have a contract with the drug or even, have their own discount program such as rite aid is $20. a month for generic drug coverage and Walmart you can see if, it’s on their approved medication program. I hope this helps in some way.
Take care
I forgot to mention as I had to stop this medication I was in fact emotional. I have a panic disorder that became exacerbated. I did have some moments of hopelessness but, I didn’t feel true depression. I have hormonal issues that I have not been treated.
I hope she feels better quickly and can receive her medication soon!
