100g tube is the largest I know of!
Hi Rita, the 100g size is the largest the gel comes in. If the doctor prescribes a more than one tube, the pharmacy is the one who puts in the computer how long the gel will last. If your physician prescribes for example, 200g, or 2 tubes, the pharmacy can put in their computer 30 days' supply for example. Many times insurances will only cover a 30 day supply for this medication or a medication similiar to this. If your physician simply writes on the prescription a quantity of 200g "30 day supply" or 300g "30 day supply" depending on how long it indeed will last the pharmacy can dispense this amount. There is usually a maximum amount a particular insurance will cover though. However, if the insurance will not cover the amount the Dr. writes for, the pharmacy is legally bound to add refills to the prescription until the amount is met. The RX is only good for 1 year though and then a new prescription is required. There are other products which are just as effective such as Flector patch, Voltaren tablets, and Cataflam tablets depending on which products which your physician deems safe for you. I hope this helps and ask further questions if you need to.
