I am not a doctor but after speaking with several and doing my own research this is FACT. Revatio is made up of Sildenafil Citrate. Viagra is made up of Sildenafil Citrate. Get it? It is the same drug whether but it different doses. Revatio is the expensive name brand that comes in 20 mg tablets with main goal of treating pulmonary hypertension (and ED ssssshhhh). Generic Revatio is 20 mg tablet (dose) of "Sildenafil Citrate." Any doctor LEGALLY prescribe plain 20 mg does of "Sildenafil Citrate" (never use the word Viagra) to treat "OFF-Label" ED issues or whatever the doctor knows it will treat. The doctor can write on the label "take no more than three a day as directed.." This would be 60mg. Viagra comes in usual doses of 50 mg and 100 mg so it would work! Big Pharm keeping the patent as long as possible to make $$$$$$. Your body does not know if you are taking name brand Sildenafil Citrate (Viagra), name brand sildenafil Citrate in smaller tablets but two pills instead of one pill (Revaltio 20 mg) or just Generic sildenafil citrate tablets (20mg) but taking 2 or 3 tablets instead of one large pill. Research it yourself and ask your doctor. Why would an educated doctor refuse? Find a new doctor that is not married to the pharm industry if he/she refuses. A research doctor wrote a good article on this very subject. Off-Label is used to treat many, many issues that were not originally patented specifically for. Sildenafil Citrate treats two conditions equally well...
