I have severe anxiety/depression.. I really need to get my blood work done, but I'm beyond petrified

It will help, but what would help more is for you to confide in someone face-to-face to help ease this anxiety, that will help more than the meds will, or at least it will help the meds do more.

It's not the needle that scares me, I can get my flu shot, an IV ... I dunno, for some reason I feel like I'm losing to much blood n makes me feel like I will faint, which turns into severe panick... The sight of blood doesn't bother me, TMI but I no I get pretty heavy periods and it doesn't faze me.. I can't even watch other ppl getting it done because I start having an anxiety attack..

In the middle of my darkness of depression and anxiety (before they found the right meds) I HAD TO DO THINGS I DIDN'T WANT TO DO. It wasn't easy but I knew I'd never get better if I didn't try. So, go and do it and then it's over. I know life if overwhelming right now, I will pray for you.

You're scared of a little needle stick? Ativan should make you pretty numb if you're not used to it. You should have someone to take you. Why exactly does it scare you? Have you tried talking to a therapist about it so this doesn't interfere with your health care?
