I’ve been on Zoloft for almost 4 weeks, with 2 1/2 of those weeks on 50mg. At first? was experiencing diarrhea, but now it’s constipation. Anyone else deal with these side effects and know what can help?? I’m staying hydrated and eating high fiber foods, not sure if any OTC meds can be taken while on Zoloft

Hello, I am sorry you are experiencing side effects of 50mg Zoloft. I started on 100 mg Zoloft January 6, 2022 with zero side effects whatsoever; each person of course reacts differently with meds due to age, underlying conditions, and whatever else you take. I just sailed right onto Zoloft perfectly easy. With diarrhea, please keep in mind to replenish your water, electrolytes and nutrients lost by drinking plenty of fluid (ginger ale, Gatorade, water). With constipation, your battle is moving the sluggish colon. When this happens to me occasionally, use Miralax for 3 days to help bring water back into the colon (you can hear it gurgling inside you!), or, another of my easy tricks, every day eat about 15 little squares of plain or frosted wheat. It creates a "fiber roto-rooter" bulking effect to push that old waste out! Its the easiest high fiber ever, eat as breakfast or snack with a cup of hot tea--- there you "go", literally. Please feel better. Yes, you can take other meds with Zoloft. check with your Doctor is always is always wise advice.
