I need to know how serious parasites are.I need to know if I can get remedy w/out a script as I hav?

This is old, however think we need to go back to topic of how few doctors treat parasites. I have sought treatment for 5 months, I am obsessed with having a parasite with a fatality rate as high as 95% if immunocompromised which I in fact am. No doctor will help. I have no weird history. I got this while living in Egypt. I am sick, I'm dying. If you have info or know a way to prove my situation, I would love help. I am depressed, scared, no energy to do a thing. T Y.

I went camping. Noticed a day or two later what looked to be an in grown fingernail. But kept noticing it changing shape and moving. Of course i didnt want to be the idiot in the ER with an in grown fingernail. So i waited the next day after poking it pushing it messing with it cuz my finger tip was numb and tingly. I felt it pulsating and moving. We tried to video it but it stopped. But i could feel it in my finger tip. So i pushed hard. And it ran quickly through my entire finger. Now i feel it under my skin and feel it while touching it, its in my forearm elbow area. Only saw one. Research think its a hook worm or bot fly leaning toward botfly cuz i have a tiny white spot (airhole) and if left alone probably wouldnt have moved. Plus i think its only one. Do i go to ER or what do i do

Run, don't walk, to a primary care provider or ambulatory care center. Parasites are serious and must be treated. The longer it is left untreated, the more difficult it will be. Yes, they can be fatal if untreated. Good luck!

I agree with atti & Laurie with their answers. No matter where you live, this is an emergency. If they are around the nose & you are having a horrilbe cough they could have infected your lungs. Got to the nearest medical facility immediately. This could be life threatening.I don't want to scare you, but you need treament immediately. Your nose is not too far from your eyes or brain so please take this with all seriousness. A hospital is where you need to be to get proper treatment. Please let us know how you come out. We will be worried about you until we hear you are treated & back to normal..Good luck, & please let us know...

I would have to agree with Patti's assessment. Given the extent of the infestation you need to seek professional medical help. Removing the larva yourself is not recommended as you may not get the entire larva leaving parts behind which can become infected.

Given the extent of the infestation, found in numerous places over your body, this could be any number of other types of larva. Again seeking help from a qualified doctor is very important. Do not put this off.

If the parasites are round worms, pin worms or whip worms, you can use over the counter med called Pin-x or Reese's pin worm medication. If not, please hit comment and add which parasite you think you have. Patti
