I have tried three doses of Diflucan and Monistat cream. It's gotten better, no more itching for the most part but still have blister/sores.

With the lingering blisters/sores, do you think that this could be herpes? With this condition, the blisters usually take up to 10 days to disappear? If so, could it be a coincidence that the diflucan and monistic treated the "itching" symptoms? Or that more treatment is necessary?
* monistat. Dang "spell correct"l!
No I dont believe it's herpes. I've done my research and it looks nothing like those type of blisters. It's more like flaking skin that comes with the yeast infection.
well, that's a good thing!
Oh my gosh after I got home I realized what was causing it. I've been using huggie wipes instead of toilet paper to be more gental since I've had the infection.. I asked my mom what she thought about the sores then it hit me. I am allergic to huggie products. Have been since a baby but my ignorant self didn't think that far
A benydral some Neosporin and cottonelle wipes and i already feel so much better!!
Good to hear it!
I kind of wonder what ingredient causes an allergic reaction as strong as the one you describe, especially since Huggies are designed for babies and usually have non-allergenic ingredients? But everyone is different.
I'm not for sure. I just remembered that I was allergic as a kid and asked my mom if that would be why I can't get rid of the sores even after the infection was gone. She said I was severely allergic as a baby so it's just an ingredient in there products I suppose.
But I'm also weird and allergic to alot of hypoallergenic products. Like earrings. I have to wear a certain pure type because I'm so allergic to the nickel I'm metal. Even the little bit in hypoallergenic earrings make my ears swell
Ok, good luck.

Sounds to me like the Monistat cream and the Diflucan have done their job and stopped the infection/itching.
Blisters and sores take time to heal. Especially in such a sensitive area.
I would apply a little Vaseline to help in the aid of the blisters.
Lastly, where the medication and cream helped the itching/infection are you sure there's not a secondary diagnosis such as hemorrhoids?
Feel better!
