I have a new psychiatrist and ran into some issues getting a medication refill (300mg bupropion which I’ve been on for a few years now). It happened right around the weekend too so their office was closed which made the time without the med even longer. I was finally able to get it filled today but at this point I haven’t taken it in 6 or 7 days. Can I just go right back on it or do I need to ease back up, like cut them in half or something? I obviously don’t feel well physically because of the withdrawal on top of starting a new medication a few days ago (Abilify) so I want to just get back on the bupropion but I don’t want to feel even worse if jumping back into 300mg will do that.
Can I resume 300mg bupropion after being off it for 6 days?

If the Bupropion is extended release (XR) you can not cut them in half as too much of the medication would be released at once causing more unpleasant side effects.
I suggest you inform your Dr. about your situation and get professional advice.
