You have to ask for Claritin D at the pharmacy counter now. It is available but anything with pseudoephedrine in it has to be purchased from the pharmacist. You dont need a prescription but you will need an ID to purchase it. Even sudafed and Nyquil has to be bought behind the pharmacy counter. The formulations on the shelfs are not the same drug. All medicines that contain the decongestant pseudoephedrine have to be purchased from the pharmacist because pseudoephedrine is used in the manufacture of methamphetamine (chrystal meth) so it is watched by the DEA (who buys it and in what quanities). You can only purchase so many units in a certain time period. I'm not sure about the specifics on the amounts. Try asking at your local pharmacy counter.

According to FDA records Claritin D is still available. Try to contact the manufacturer ... they'll be able to tell you if there are any supply issues.
